Porterfield is working on a low dust pad that will have better stopping power than stock and low dust, its just taking them a long damn time to come out with them. They promised them in March and they are still not out yet. I don't understand this, as they have brake pads for all other AMG vehicles including the 2017 GLC 43.
They told me yesterday they are working on them and they will come out shortly- not sure what that means since they said that back in November 2017
R1concepts has brake pads for the C43, I haven't tried them.

Ready for new pads soon...would be nice to have another option other than factory.
Totally off topic but fun thought experiment...
1995 had 8,620,159 new car sales, or 23,616.9 cars/day. Let's assume disc brakes at all four corners was fairly rare and the Callahan Auto Parts made pads that fit cars the typically had drums in the rear. So we're talking front pads only. That's only 250,000 cars worth of pads for Callahan Auto Parts. At the '95 rate of car sales, that's 10.58 days worth of new car sales that were potentially captured, or 2.9% of all new car pads sold. Thinking of that in modern cars with discs all around, you're down to only 5.3 days worth of sales, or more importantly, manufacturing. There's no way in hell this one sale to Dan Akroyd saved Callahan Auto Parts from going under in the long term. My childhood is a lie. No, I'm not on drugs at the moment. Carry on!

In another Scenario Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd; Winthorp and Lewis Respectively in Trading Places- Never would have made hundreds of Millions of dollars off of the FCOJ stock deal they manipulated- Our childhoods are in fact a lie. You must know how much of the stock they purchased, they made roughly $20 of each share of stock, so it does not add up unless they had millions to invest in their initial purchase, which they didn't.

That's great but Porterfield has not come out with the pads for the C 43 yet? It sounds like your saying you have these pads installed on your C 43 AMG, is that correct? If so please provide the part number.

in mean time id recommend just putting stock pads in. THey are not too hard to change on front considering its a fixed caliper design. Rear will take a little more time.

EBC UK has no ETA on production.
I spoke to Mike at Carbotech yesterday and this was his email back to me today. (I didn't ask what sort of timeframe we're looking at. If you guys that are interested email them maybe it'll speed things up if they know there is more interest.)

"Here is what we are looking at for your '17 GLC 43 AMG:
(F) CT1871-1521
(R) CT1872-1521
I am still searching for cores to get in to be able to come up with pricing. As soon as I can get a set here, I will get that info to you."

I just called Porterfield after reading this, I'm trying to track down pads for my GLC43. FYI apparently the GLC43 and C43 use the same pads and rotors, they seem to have the same factory part numbers for both vehicles. (I'm guessing different calipers because the C43 can use 18" wheels and GLC43 19" is minimum?) Anyhow Porterfield said they don't have anything yet with no ETA. EBC is the same, they have a part number but haven't made any yet. Someone from EBC North America is checking with EBC UK to see if there is an ETA on production. I'll let you guys know what I hear.
