Worth the Wait

More pictures to post in the morning, but here it is coming off the truck and getting its first tank of fuel.

I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the other delivery pics and specs. This is the first Obsidian Black I recall seeing, so I think every color of the rainbow has now been posted. Can’t wait to get inside with the Designo Platinum White interior.

Finally picked the the car up and it is totally worth the wait. The interior is unreal - equal parts comfortable and beautiful. The Obsidian Black Metallic paint matched with the designo Platinum White interior and the carbon fiber turned out even better than I had imagined.

I checked pretty much every box on the configurator, so still exploring a lot of the features. I’ll be going back to the dealership to take my Distronic self driving tutorial this weekend and am really looking forward to putting that to work on a future commute. For those still waiting on their cars, stay strong. Getting in mine for the first time yesterday was a truly amazing experience that you
can look forward to in the near future.

The contrast with the black/white interior and Obsidian exterior is just stunning.

Second this. Easily one the best interiors I've seen in anything recently.

But I wanted to wash and get some sealant on the car before flying out to UT and WY tomorrow for a ski trip. Unfortunately, while cleaning the interior, I discovered a factory issue.

The rear panoramic roof fabric cover roller was not installed correctly. So there is a three inch rip in the left side. I'll need to schedule a service appointment with one of the local dealerships for a warranty fix one we get back from vacation. Hopefully they won't have to tear apart the roof...

Anyway, here is the picture of the ripped roof cover and some post-cleaning pictures...
Bummer about the rip!

Got any not so up close side profile pictures of this beaut? These so far are the only pics I have seen of the brilliant blue coupled with the 18 inch wheels! Ordered this same spec in mid-October so I am assuming delivery mid-February. Getting pretty antsy now after finding this thread!

Ive had the vehicle for 2 weeks now, I’m really loving everything about the car the way it drives, all the tech, the exhaust. My only regret is not getting the 64 color ambient lighting, the car looks amazing inside but I feel if it had the ambient lighting it would look even better at night.

C43 AMG
After 3 Weeks with my C43 Coupé and 2000km (about 1200 miles), a Drive over a Mountain Pass (Switzerland) and daily commutes, 0-250 Tests on the German Autobahn etc. i have just one Sentence:
I.****ing.Love.This.Car.

Its super Comfy and relaxing during Commutes to Work with Distronic and the well cushioned Seats (Normal ventilated leather seats, not Performance) and switches to a Loudbanging and Grumbling Beast in the Mountains or the Autobahn.

How many menacing looks do you seem to get from other drivers with the flaps open. That's gotta be half the fun lol.

I really like the light signature for the standard LEDs.

Wow! That designo Platinum White interior and the black is awesome. I would have loved to get something like that, but the C43 is supposed to be my first "family" vehicle and the thought of children and their snacks, sticky fingers, and all around monster status (speaking as an uncle only) combined with the designo platinum white interior makes me tear up a little.

When I first saw the new tail lights, I was skeptical since the previous dual ovals lights looked so great. As with anything, the swoop is growing on me. I have yet to see any 2019 C-class with the taillights on- what is everyone else's opinion, especially those of you who have received their cars.

PS: MBUSA extended the December 2018 incentives until the 7th. I hope that this means delivery is this weekend... still at VPC since Dec 27th (again)

i was also skeptical on the taillights when I first saw pictures of the car when I first order the vehicle, it had that Nissan Maxima/Altima vibe.....but after seeing it in person and seeing it at night the lights look very cool and nothing like them.

3 Days ago we let it Bang in a tunnel shifting at 5k in Sport+, then slowed down with crackles and grumbling. At the End of the tunnel was a roundabout which enters into a village. There was an Old Man standing there with crossed arm and a mean look, just shaking his head at us dying from Laughter.
We politly raised our hand to apologize for the Noise and behaving like we're 20 year olds, but couldnt stop the Grinning
You get a lot of Thumbs Up from Truck Drivers while Overtaking them tho.

YES! NIssan esq vibe to it is exactly what I said. So glad you said that and you are good with them. I contemplated retrofitting the 2018's tail, but you helped me passed that until I get the vehicle.

2019 C43 AMG Coupe
Thumbs up

Not an order, but I did trade in my '17 sedan for a '19 coupe my dealership had on the lot. Bought it on new years eve for 10% off MSRP for end of the year special. Overall very happy with the facelift version so far, build quality seems much better. Waiting for break in period to be over to fully enjoy, but next step is PPF and some tint.

I'm still on vacation, so here is the only picture I took from the side after taking delivery... Hope this angle helps.

Do you happen to live in a Knox-Henderson area apartment? I just saw a car specced exactly like this show up in my apartment's garage. Looks gorgeous!

Quick review of my sedan after 2 weeks of driving.

Exterior - love the overall look of the car especially with the new facelift changes. LED headlights and taillights look great. 19” rims are sharp.

Interior - very well done. Coming from a BMW this is much nicer. Love the new look steering wheel. Ambient lighting is cool. First time using car play, neat feature just wish you didn’t have to plug in your phone.

Driving - makes you smile as soon as you start it up. Definitely get the performance exhaust! Sounds awesome. Sounds a little deeper than I remember the 18 being when I test drove one. The ride does seem a little stiffer than my old 3 series BMW that had 18’s on it. Mainly notice it on rough roads. I guess that’s to be expected with a performance car like this with 19” rims. Regardless, it’s a fun car to drive!

Hi,

One question to users with 19" wheels, they come standard with the Run flats? i expected depending on the market it could be different. Everybody complaints about them and also one of the causes of the rough ride.

Regards

Thanks for posting this!!!

The DOG shows that you can NOT get the digital dash without the Mulitmedia/Command package - but your dash says different! Were there any "issues" when you ordered?
Im stoked because like you - I see no need to spend the extra $2600 on Command...but Im the guy that likes the Diminica (alcantara) seats.

I ordered in May and the digital dash was a la carte. No questions about it when I ordered only the digital dash without command. Many markets also require the parking assistant/sensors to be packaged with the command system. That was also a stand alone package... what would have been better though is just the sensors for me since I know how to park in a city. Ha
