My new order C43 AMG
So, the good news. My SA says its at the port easy to be shipped...The BAD news...I was very, veery careful in ordering exactly what I wanted...I see the revised build sheet where I had specified the H84 SILVER FIBERGLASS INT but the new build shows the H73 CARBON FIBRE BLACK in its place. I am not happy. SA says maybe they ran out of it or discontinued it?? NOT HAPPY

You don't have to take delivery of the car, but enjoy waiting for another 3-4 months. Your SA obviously wasn't honest with you because they don't just substitute options. The dealer doesn't get the build locked in when they submit and have to change the part and re-submit until it locks in.

Had the same issue with my pre-facelift car. Ordered the carbon dash but gloss black was substituted.
Decided to keep the order and make the dealer pay the cost of buying the carbon dash after delivery.

Did they give you any indication on delivery time?
Mine has been waiting at port since July 10th. Was told this weekend there is a 60 day delay on all 2019 models and that I should only expect to get it at the end of Oct...

No. SA had nothing further. Spec sheet says “at port “. That’s it

As it seems like it always is, they dont know. They just received a notification that there was a 60 day delay. Not the news I was expecting.

I know... I had really hoped that it was all just cautionary and that maybe wed get it at the end of August or even in Sept...
I was not expecting this big delay and an even longer wait. Whats worse is seeing the car released in the UK and Europe and even Africa already...

I think its going to be the same as Canada. This was a post from someone in the E63S forum today as well:
"I was just told by my sales person that my wagon is on the Valiant Ace currently in the Atlantic on it's way to America. It arrives in Brunswick on August 5, 2018, and then is set to arrive in Southern California by August 17, 2018. I was also told by my sales person that "all 2019 models" are on a 60-day hold due to "customs issues" and that my car is not expected to be released to the dealer until October 17, 2018. He said there is chance it may come sooner if the customs issue is resolved early."

I switched the piano for the black ash wood on my 43.

That might work. but the real issue is WHY? If the Silver FiberGlass trim was not available in Germany , why would you suppose the dealer would have it to install? All I can do is wait infill the issue with Customs is over and its sitting at the dealer. Does the effect all manufacturers cars incoming?

Nope. No updates from when I last posted. From what Ive read in other threads - S560, E63S etc - they have all been told there is a delay/hold on 2019s and there is mixed chatter of either Sept or Oct potential release.
I would anticipate late Oct from what my dealer mentioned when I last posted.
