Yeah its easy to swing both ways. A E63 much like a C63 though stands out a lot more though and anyone remotely knowing MB would have some idea what it is if its debadged.

Im in no rush to debadge the car with that said it is something I may eventually do. Look probably when the new C Class comes out in a year or two from now, I am more likely to debadge it totally.

I wont be keeping just the AMG on it, I think I will go all the way.

What are others thoughts on just keeping the AMG on the car? Do they think its odd? Mind you I think its more suitable keeping it on a 2door coupe sports car than say a SUV/sedan.

how often do you see a Tesla P100D with goes 0-60 in 2.5 seconds on the road?
if you debadge it, most people just assume it' a regular tesla ( 75D ) that go 0-60 seconds in 4.2 seconds.
same thing apply to Mercedes.

Not exactly sure what you are trying to say here?

If my car was a sleeper - I'd de-badge.

As I own the "poor man's" SL, if I took the SL 400 off mine, people (who know these cars) would think that I was trying to be something I'm not. This is also my opinion. HOWEVER - I would prefer the nice clean look.

I saw a de-badged SLK yesterday and noticed that it was a 250d.

I chuckle at the idiots that re-badge and have AMG badges on non AMG or "AMG Line" cars.

I want to stand out, not blend in..

Also, I debadged my imports when I was in the stance scene, (G35, G37, 370Z), because it was a clean look.. for those cars.. hell I did it on my C250.. but because it was a C250 lol.

I wouldn't do it, but thats just me

If you're surrounded by poseurs, being nondescript makes you stand out. Just sayin'.

Debadge & deframe

When I bought my 2001 CLK55, and AMGs were still rare, I debadged because I did not want the attention from people tailgating on the expressway to look me over or from kids in clapped-out mustangs that wanted to race. I am also a "when I speak they will know who is the King" type of person. When I bought my 2007 SLK55 I did not bother. So far I have not bothered with my new car but I may because I think the rear will actually look better.

What galls me is clowns that miss badge, like by putting "AMG" on a car and leaving the original "C250 badge" on, but there are whole other threads ranting on this ...

As for deframing -- definitely. If you drive 100 miles away from home, or move, and you park your car you may come back to find it broken into. Thieves target out of town cars in the hopes of being able to steal luggage, and having out of state plates or even out of town frames makes you a target. There are coast road parking lots here in California that are notorious for exactly this.

2017 C43 Coupe
I debadged because I like the clean and balanced look in the rear. I do have the AMG rear license plate frame (as if anyone can read it from afar anyway) and the BITURBO on the front quarter panels. Before, it was so irritating cars would come up beside me and want to race. Solved that problem after debadging. I'd rather have sleeper look and surprise some of those who think they can outrun me.

I debaged the rear on my E63. It looks cleaner without the badges and too many idiots have AMG badges on their non-AMG cars. No one gives a ****.

I did keep the 6.3 AMG badges on the fenders though. I kind of like how they look.

Even my wagon is debaged.

Decided for the time being to keep my badges. In the coupe the badges are whole less prominent compared to the sedan, where you see them but they are really "out of sight".
