Caliper (front) pin question - anybody else notice this?

Regarding my front calipers, my passenger side pins aren’t quite flush with the caliper. On the driver’s side caliper, the pins are flush.

Does this matter at all? Merely cosmetic? And does anyone else have this same setup?

Photos below. Many thanks in advance. Top is passenger side pin & caliper. Neither pin is flush on this side.

And this is one of the pins on the driver's side caliper. Notice it is flush (so is the other pin on this side).

First, FYI - you posted in the W205 C43 section.

Second, if rotors are anything like our 4 pot rotors, there's a small amount of play in the pin. The gap you show in pic one doesn't seem too far off snug. I'd bet it's just worked its way out a little bit and is flush against the securing pin on the inside. Should be able to tell if you remove the wheel and turn the steering wheel so you can get a view of the rear side of the rotor.

These are W205 C43 brakes.

Thanks for the response.

So there’s no actual effect?

Just making sure since you have a W204 in your sig.

I'd never say 100% no issue to worry about when it's something as important as brakes, but I'd be willing to say odds are in favor of no issues. If you have the means and are really concerned, I'd pull the wheel and take a peek. I just inspected my brakes and pulled them apart 2000mi ago and one of the four pins was similar to your picture.

Awesome. Thanks again for taking the time to share that. Not overly concerned at this point, this system is just so new to me that I’m trying to ascertain what is normal.

I noticed this on mine as well but I have no braking issues at all. I am sure it is just play in the pin

Perfect. Thanks Lazz! Seem to be building a consensus here.
