Red Seatbelts Anyone?

Can someone post photos of their red seatbelts on the black leather sport seats with red stiching? I’m thinking of swapping out to the red belts in my coupe.

Thanks!

I flip-flopped on red seatbelts for a while before landing on staying with black. Ultimately I came to the conclusion that the belts were a few shades to bright for me, and I thought took away from the interior (distracting). If they were a darker shade of red (closer to a crimson), I probably would have done gone for them.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I was hoping for a little darker but I couldn't find any cars on the lots with the red belts. I'm guessing it's not terribly hard to replace the belts. I may order one just to see in person. I was thinking about just changing out the fronts anyways.

Thanks everyone! Post more photos if you have any. How about one of the front seats with the belts fastened?

The parts were around $350 each from the online Mercedes parts store. They seatbelt modules are listed under the Electrical category. The part includes the belt and tensioner.

I'm guessing you have to replace the entire Retractor Assembly, Part #1. 205-860-66-00-28-3D53 (W/Pre-Safe Red, Left). This one is for the sedan. The coupe has a different part and its around $400 each.

When I was shopping for a used C43, I found one I really liked but with those damn red seatbelts. Called a couple shops and it was close to $3k for parts and labor. When you’re messing with a safety part for cosmetic purposes, I felt it was not worth messing with.

Ended up with cranberry leather and black seatbelts. Very refined combo.

$3k wow just wow. Thanks but no thanks. I understand I guess the pricing, but no way am I going to pay that much for it.

Its a pity that Mercedes dont think in their coupes (ie sportscars) it should be standard along with red calipers. More customers I think would be happier than not.

Are you sure about this? My C63 will have black interior with yellow stitching and I was thinking to swap black seatbelts with yellow to match the stitching…

The parts would be around $800 for just the two front Coupe belt/tensioner. It looks like it would be a "simple" unbolt and bolt replacement. What am I missing???

I have 5 seatbelts, which was under $2k, then several hours quoted for labor. I’m also the furthest from a DYI guy you’ll meet, so I would have the work done by my dealer. It added up and I gave it about 2 mins of thought before I moved on.

How would you keep the red belt clean after few years? Yellow would be harder to keep it clean.

Only reason I went with cranberry interior with black belt because there wasn't any choice for red belt. As to clean the red seats, it has already black dots all over so I don't have to clean it often. Would be easier cleaning the seats then the belts I would imagine.
