C450 AMR RV3.1 Tune with Special Features
What’s up everyone! I’m new to this forum and thought I would start off posting the whip and what I’ve recently done in addition to my previous AMR SV tune.
I’m running with Weistec M276 catless downpipes, paired with AWE’s Track edition exhaust. For software, I previously was running AMR Performance’s SV (Street Version) tune which I was very pleased and impressed with ( can’t say the same about the people I’ve raced lol ). Tuesday, I went up to AMR Performance in Danbury, CT and have them add the new RV (Race Version) 3.1 software along with their “Special Features” upgrade which opened up burn-out mode, two-step , launch control (which I love most) and last but not least, a burble mod.
Right now, I’m pushing 520ftlbs of torque and 410awhp to the pavement.. which has resulted in the spanking of everything I have raced from the ride home to this afternoon when I embarrassed an ZL1 Camaro with his lady in the passenger seat 🙃 It’s wild seeing the power gains and where the power is put down after the installation of this tune! I’m very fond of my boys up at AMR, Rob and Matt truly allow their software and engineering to speak for itself. I’ll be posting more clips of races and examples of these new mods, here’s one of each 😬

Very nice. Was there any change in power with the revised tune? I assume the power stayed nearly the same, it's just the extra features allow you to have a little more fun. The zL1 part is a little tough to fathom, but what else have you raced? Any trap speeds to share?

I hear ya! But I can be a testiment here in saying that you’re getting what you’re paying for! I highly recommend AMR to the Mercedes drivers that are looking to unleash the cars stored potential. That’s not to say however, that the MB platform doesn’t have enough power to play with from the factory, I just feel most of us on here enjoy that little.. extra 🙃

OP, could you do a minute long burnout for us? Please put a camera under your car, that way if something blows up you will at least have a good video!

WOW.. your relentless man!! Is it jealousy that keeps making you make derogatory comments? Just because your car can’t do this and they won’t tell you how it’s done so your tuner can try and copy it? I really don’t understand

I'm pretty sure most tuners could copy it if they wanted to do my comparing the stock ECU files with ones from a car tuned by AMR...
It is a bit strange that they are not confirming if it is 'safe' for the tranny though.

does any tune on the market confirm there tune is safe for the transmission or am I missing something?

Absolutely not, hence the inverted commas.
I think the concern is that something more damaging than the power gains from a regular tune could be happening with the burnout mode, given the car's usual 69/31 split.

I’m just here to help others avoid damage to their cars they have worked hard to afford. When a tuner gives zero information on a product that is new to the market, we have the right to ask basic questions, not getting any answer should raise some suspicion.
Not at all jealous, I never intended to do a burnout in my fixed ratio awd car.
Why get on to me for asking questions that benefit the community?

I agree with this post! I’m currently running the street version AMR tune and I’ve won a lot of light to light street races! 5.0 mustang, 2 cameron SS’s, 2 SRT Charges, a 2016 S4 (my neighbor), 330 BMW and most recently a CLA 45 AMG. I drive a C400 and I surprise a lot of drivers!
Im also going to be moving forward with the RV tune. Reading post likes this one only makes me want to get it sooner. I can only imagine how much more fun my car will be to drive!
Great post, great review!
