Hello All,

I just wanted to add to the satisfied customers list of using Dvdinmotion.com for my 2018 C43 Coupe.

Specifically Marry at dvdinmotion.com was great. She answered all of my questions in detail within minutes and was able to send my specific file within 30 minutes! Installation was spot on and works great! I am keeping the USB flash drive in the car just in case I ever wanted to reverse the process.

Yes - this gives you access to the navigation functions (address entry) and continuous play of video for the passenger.

I can't say I've never felt the need to use the screen to play video while I drive. What inspired you to install this?

Honestly I've never thought of it even being an option until reading AMG C43 3LV6's post, 10 things I love about my c43. #5 he mentions the stuck on tablet and being able to watch videos while cruising around. That intrigued me and I reached out to him inquiring . At first thought it was an option I missed, then he told me it's something you can do easily and reversible. The stuck on tablet makes it easier to see/use . My 2015 c350 Coupe had it integrated into dash and was too subtle and got lost.

By NAV system you just mean the map portion or can you use everything as you would normally with COMMAND?

Everything in command as normal . Specifically the nav system - you are able to enter a new address when you are driving vs. only when parked before the software installation . And DVDs, videos etc all play while driving.

Hello Chris I just wanted to offer you my kind words of advice.

Please dont ever try and watch the video in motion while driving, I was going to get this but after some careful thinking and common sense decided not to. I appreciate there may be times where this may be useful such as the ability to ask for directions while driving, but using the screen while driving to watch videos is a no. I actually love hitting traffic lights and watching the video for a seconds while waiting but decided against getting it while driving.

There is also legal repercussions as well not to mention police issues where I am sure they will pull you over.

The choice is yours to make, you mentioned about me earlier so I thought it would be remiss of me not to give my proper thoughts on the subject matter.

Vídeo on motion isn’t for the driver, it’s for the passengers. And for young kids that don’t yell and scream when cartoons are playing on the screen

You can watch a dvd while parked or engine off.

I was hoping that I could stream live audio/video (like CNN or FOX) from my phone to the car screen, so I emailed and the reply was that this device does not allow that at this time.

You can i in theory if you mirror your phone to the screen.

For starters you would need apple in car play or android installed.

I have always been able to get audio.....I want video to be displayed. Mirroring does nothing for video...only audio.

Do you really need the video displayed while driving?

I was about to get DVD in motion but changed my mind. The legal issues of being involved in an accident would be horrendous not to mention the guilt.

I like traffic lights now lol, so I can view a music video.

Have you tried using the web browser on the COMMAND and watching the news on there?

The web browser Is not that good...and you can't get video. I have been working with mbrace on getting the entertainment package. That is not working out well. The ORIGINAL problem was that the AM reception is garbled in many areas of the city and even in the countryside. Did I mention I live in Hawaii? I know, I know, no one listens to AM...but I do. And I don't like my talk radio coming in garbled. So it has been in the shop, at the direction of the mbrace tech dept. They replaced the antenna....no help. Internet radio, as part of the entertainment package, has been tried and so far they cannot make it work...that was a suggested "cure" for the AM reception. My C43 convertible radio for AM is junk. Tried another 2018, convert, and same problem as mine. Tried a 2019 convett
and it did not have the problem. There is so much more to this story.....but I'll quit here. The end result is I don't believe my passenger will ever be able to watch TV or STREAMING VIDEO in my car. Shold have bought one in Japan where TV is OK in cars.

I think the bigger problem is reception in general with Mercedes cars.

Given you listen to AM radio, why not stream it on your phone and have it speaker mode so its loud?

I'm not interested in what you think of how I do a quick reply. I have had several MB and this is the first time I have had radio problems. You seem to be missing the point.....I want to have decent AM reception without having to resort to streaming from my phone. A new car should have AM reception....not new technology. In addition I would want to mirror my phone in both audio and video to the car screen all the time...not just when sitting still. I realize I can watch a DVD or SD card but only when the car is not in motion. Mosts of these on line units, including Video in Motion, mirror only audio...I already can do that. What I want is to mirror video or pick up a TV signal.
