media volume vs radio volume

I have noticed recently that when I switch from playing my Spotify via the USB or BT on my iPhone to Radio the radio volume is extremely loud...like if you’re not ready for it “jumpy loud”

Is there a setting I have selected or de-selected that I shouldn’t have?

I have searched the interwebs and can’t seem to find an answer.

Thanks everyone.

So what happens if you set the volume while playing your car's radio, then plug in your phone and adjust the volume on the phone, not car, and disconnect the phone? Does the volume stay very high???

Radio volume set to normal listening levels. Plug phone in and need to increase volume as it’s to quiet. Switch back to radio and volume is WAY to loud.

whats strange is it never used to do this which Is why I thought maybe it’s a setting that I have accidentally switch on/off.

Here's a guess: Max your iPhone's Bluetooth volume and then adjust the volume from your car.

That doesn’t explain why it would do this though when plugged in via USB.

I'm pretty sure iPhones also have another saved volume setting for when connected to USB.

I have never encountered this problem, when I switch between media modes, their respective volume levels are saved in the car. So I feel that it is a problem with the phone.

Only inputs I use is Radio, USB drive and my iPhone. All 3 have the same volume.. never need to change it.

I've always thought this to be the difference in audio quality/fidelity between wired/bluethooth type connections vs. good old fashioned radio wavelengths vs. physical media. I've observed this in every car I've owned. Same thing happens when playing a physical CD vs. wired iPod connection vs. radio on my home stereo setup. 7/10 on bluetooth ends up being an 8/10 when hopping over to USB/wired, which ends up being a 9/10 on radio or physical media playback.
