'19 Selenite Grey C43 Coupe build
Starting the slow process of what I hope to be an OEM plus build. Checked nearly every box minus NFC charging and performance seats. First off..it sucks having to buy a US Spec in Germany. I plan to pick up some goodies whilst we are living here. A couple of pics from the Sindelfingen factory pick up to start it off. Awesome experience....

Already an issue that is pretty common.. Headlight condensation.. I am taking it in Monday to see what can be done, along with Mercedes Me activation, and ordering front euro plate bracket. These are two separate instances.

A short list of first few items bought that are en route.
JB Speed door pins Red stitched diamond leather mates for the floor 12mm spacers Dragy unit |
Pretty sure headlight condensation in this generation (even past) is considered "normal" as the headlamps are not a "closed system". The heat of the LED components require that there's ventilation in these units and I believe they even have some cooling fans. Interested to learn what you hear though...

I can't verify, but have read of a retrofit MB will do...and.. it's from here..we will see.. BTW, I am pretty sure the condensation is from a lack of heat associated with LEDs.
nice aero pieces, like the skirts especially. |
Damn!! Those side skirts look sick!:y
Anyone know the part # for them? |
Ordered a couple of those seat side storage bins. Anyone taken a look at the grille yet to see if the fins are removable? I might take a look. I want to either buy a set in gloss black, vinyl, or plastidip plus glossifier....Might do the same to the badges out back.

Looks awesome. I also ordered mine with full AMG exterior kit and wheels. How about the front lip high clearance?
The rear air vents on the side are "fake"? About the door pins, are better the JB ones from the OEM AMG ones? PS; make the break-in period!! (On the autobahn will be difficult, for sure :D) Regards |

It's hard, but I am doing my best on the break in. |

Well I have to back into my garage because the front scrapes forward...German angles are rough

On the door pins, I saw as an OEM accessory an AMG ones in metallic, very similar as the JB ones, I see always threads about the JB ones, but nobody purchasing the OEM accessory. Regards |

in any case, I think it's worth it, to give a little bit of more "agressive" look.

I think it's a money thing. Price for the JB are way better for an extremely similar product.

Your car looks incredible. Congrats and enjoy!!!
|
Thanks!
Looks like I might be getting my JB4 w/ Bluetooth a little earlier than I had expected to purchase. Today the car is at the dealer to get MercedesMe turned on and so the dealer can document the condensation if they ever do a TSB. Hopefully, they can also get a hold of a Euro plate holder, too. On another note, does anyone have any experience with ceramic coatings? |
New European plate holder.

Any ideas of where to mount a Dragy? I saw one put it un the cupholder area, but does that affect the GPS signal?
|
A couple quick pics. I picked up a two pack of those little side cubbies that slide in between the tunnel and the seat. Also, the dragy can receive signal through the cupholder area.

Added the hated door pins and a little sticker to show some home state (and 2A) pride abroad...

What's with the key logo inside the cupholder?

What is the back plastic thing in front of the cup holders, next to the cigarette lighter?

Bought some diamond stitched maps. The wrinkles go away over time.
