Selling my RaceChip Black for my 2019 C43
I bought the new 2019 C43 version of the RaceChip black to see how it worked. It performs very well and added a nice bit of extra power. I am selling as I wanted just a bit more and ended getting the JB4. If anyone is interested in my 2019 C43 RaceChip please PM me or email @ gordotre@hotmail.com. It was only used for a couple weeks to test and has all original items included. I did want to let everyone know it did add some good noticeable improvements on the 2019 C43s (Coupe BTW) but did not do any timed testing.

Very interested to hear your thoughts re: the JB4 and your 2019 C43. I'm close to pulling the trigger on one but haven't seen many reviews or much feedback on a 2019.

I can tell you that the JB4 solution took it a step above the RaceChip solution. The first time I came close to WOT is actually surprised me enough that I could not believe it pulled like that. I then proceeded to get s very large smile on my face. The RaceChip also felt great but have to say the JB4 is really next level. I did start with JB1 and it felt close to RC Black with a slight edge to JB1. Hope this information helps.

The JB4 uses 2 TMAP connections and the OBDII connection
Hope this helps. There is plenty of additional information on the BMS tuning forum as well.

I wrote BMS to ask whether one could use an OBD splitter cable with the JB4 and they said "no." For me, that's a showstopper because I use a KiWi 3 OBD-to-bluetooth adapter to feed LapTimer the car's data and that allows me to create instrumented event/track videos and do post-event analysis.

Yes the JB4 requires exclusive CANbus data for it's higher power tuning. The data the JB4 records is going to exceed what you can record via a generic option, although you won't have the same integration level. You can run the JB4 without the OBDII in a lower power state, more equivalent to a RaceChip style tune but at least you'd have fuel control active. Useful for extended load track racing for sure.
I use an OBDii splitter for the JB4 and an aftermarket RPM controlled valve exhaust. Everything seems to be in working order. What should I look for if in fact it's causing issues?

Did the JB4 perform better than the Racechip for you? There was a guy on another thread who couldn't get good gains with the JB4 on the 2019 model.
