Going from 2018 C43 to 2019

Hey guys. Ordered a 2019 recently, I guess it should be here in about a month. I'll be sad to see my 2018 C43 go, but I'm excited to see the new things in the 2019!

Has anyone compared the 2018 to the 2019 to see the differences? Anything worth mentioning, good or bad?

Also, that means I'll be getting ready to sell my 2018, but I'm not going to list it in the marketplace until I have a date for the new car's delivery.

I will be in the same boat. My main concern is the ride improvement. That is it.

I only ever test drove the '18s, but just received my 19 (sedan). I don't have any issues with the ride quality -- even on the run-flats. Nor does my wife, which was the biggest question-mark for me. I cannot compare it perfectly to the 18s as I only had test drives, but the ride quality is very comfortable for me in Comfort mode. Then again, I had a '86 911 as a daily some years back, so I don't mind stiff cars. The additional two settings on the suspension each make the car markedly stiffer -- easy to tell the difference between all three.

Certainly the center screen fits the interior much better -- giving it a wider sense. The digital dash is also beautifully put together. I loaded mine out with nearly everything except the adaptive driving package (I want to drive the car, after all, not have a robot do it for me), and I'm hard pressed to think about what else I could even want in a car... Maybe massage seats if I'm being very picky?

Mr. AMG talks about it in his face lift review.

I write a detailed comparison on this board a couple months ago. I’ve owned both.

From your post it sounds like you got rid of the 2019 C43, what replaced it?

No I still have the 2019. Great car. Keep getting pulled over in it though.

Had a 17 C43 now have a 19 C43 both sedans. Theres a lot of difference inside with the new tech they added. The exhaust seems quieter than my 17. Yes I do and did have the PE on both. I haven't really driven my 19 all that much, about 900km since i picked it up in Jan. Ride harshness is about the same granted right now I'm on 18" winters. Is the new tech inside the 19 worth getting? I'd say yes.

Speeding? Or other reasons for pulled over?

Speeding of course... It's hard to go slowly in this car. Especially because I want to hear the exhaust at all times.

I know exactly what you mean ! The PE is music to the hears at high revs

I do wish the exhaust note was louder at lower rpm. Seems you have to bring it to 3-4k rpm before it starts to sing, pop and bang. Driving around at those rpms really chew up the fuel, wow.

This is one area where the '18 has it over the '19.

That's what I figured. Not sure why they decided to do that.

More reason to go for the 63?

That depends on you. I decided to stick with the c43 because of the 4matic. To me, the c43 is a much better daily driver than the c63 could ever be, considering where I live. The exhaust note on the 63 is better by far imo, but if that is the only thing you want vs the 43, you have to ask if it's worth 15k more just for the sound and a little more hp that struggles to put it down on the road.
