Just wondering if it's necessary to change the rotors at 40k or changing only the brake pads is enough? How long are rotors supposed to last?

Car is rented, does it need to be serviced at a mbz dealer?

hey mate,

38000kms here. Just changed the rear pads. No need to machine/replace. If for some reason you need to machine them you cant anyways as they will be under minimum thickness.

Thanks man! And if for some reason I have to change the rotors, since the car is leased, does the rotor need to be OEM? Got an appraisal from a garage and it says Freemax rotors.

doubt anyone would know difference between aftermarket and OEM. Just make sure they dont con you into changing them when they are fine
