Powdercoating rims

I got the 19 in five spoke wheels that come in a chrome-ish surface with black outline. (see picture below from online). What is your take on powdercoating them gloss black? Im also getting the calipers painted orange so im thinking it might work even better with the rims black.

I have the same wheels so I'm biased. They are all black except the face that is chrome. Before you do the powder coating I think I'd take off one wheel, clean the face with alcohol and mask off the black parts of the wheel and the tire and spray the chrome face with the Duplicolor wheel paint that can be peeled off, Google it. After it's dry put the wheel on the car and see what you think. If you like it great and powder coat all four. If you don't peel off the paint from the chrome face and you're right back where you are today.

there’s a video online with the same rims basically from the 2018 model getting powdercoated and calipers painted. It comes out amazing. The major thing is cost. It costs alot to get them powdercoated. Second, what if the rims look better with the dual color rather than all black? Not sure what to do. Plus I hated the matte black rims option —the multispoke .
what’s your take?

So here's a link to the peelable Duplicolor, this would let you try and see how it looks then make a decision. https://www.duplicolor.com/product/c...movable-paint/ . Spending the money on one can of paint and a little time is way better than the powder coating only to decide you don't like it

It shouldn't cost you more than $100 per wheel - you can get your wheels unmounted/mounted for $50 a wheel. Shouldn't be more than $600-700.

either that made no sense or its Monday. $100 per wheel is $400 for all 4...

he factored in the wheel mount/dismount cost as well as the powdercoat cost.

I actually like the wheels the way they are. As for the calipers, would like them red and lettered but just haven't got around to it. Car is Designo Cardinal Red so there's already lots of red and not sure calipers would stand out and since car is leased I don't want to get a picky inspector at the end of the lease saying I have "un-paint" them back to factory condition.

red car hmm. Send me pics of your car.
I think calipers should be green. Red and green works well together. And without a doubt chrome delete has to be done on a red car.
