Hi. Im getting most likely a white on red c43 with the 5 twin spoke black contrast rims. I am planning on painting the calipers, but I really am considering powdercoating the rims fully black. Anyone have any advice, possible pricing quotes, etc? Thanks

I ordered the same wheels.

From the complaints i’ve read about those wheels (and tires) you may want to consider buying a new set of wheels.

I just checked with a powder coating shop that a colleague does a great deal of work and was quoted $450 for all 4 wheels gloss black.. That is in NorCal Sacramento area.

Same here in Potholesylvania…$200 per wheel.

On my E350 I used USA wheels in Fairfield NJ which is where just about every dealer in the NYC area sends them. They charge $150/wheel, (the dealers mark it up $50-$100)

They did a great job. If you're somewhat close, I'd definitely recommend them. The place is a bit of a dump, but they do great work.

already worth paying a little more for new wheels and tires (larger size)?

People just seem to be having a lot of issues with these wheels and with the run flats tires on the rims. They seem to bend easily and people are having blow outs. Like a lot of blow outs.
There was a just a whole thread on it last week in the C43 AMG section, which was disconcerting since I have the same wheels lol.

Just would hate to see someone spend $800 on powder coating rims when they might have to have them replaced anyway down the road.

but that's a tire problem if anything. Doesn't affect the rims. But anyways, that's the situation. Either pay like $1300-1500 bucks for new wheels/tires combo OR powdercoat for 800 the stock wheels. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO LOL.

yeah people were actually complaining about the rims too. Hey I hope I’m wrong as I ordered them too lol.

I hear ya man...maybe go with your gut or what you want to spend.
