JB4 installed.....UMMMMM WOW

Noob question, is the JB4 from 2017 ~ 2018 model differ from the 2019 ~ 2020 facelift models? I've been reading 2020 models have tuning issues with other companies with MAP tuning. Any 2020 owners with JB4 here with any issues or using the BCM? I'm not planning on getting catless pipes, no issue going beyond map 1? Pretty new to the platform and just trying to learn.

I have the JB4 installed on my 2020 and am still waiting on the BCM and Draggy that I paid for 3 weeks ago today. I still have no order information or even a tracking # yet....

I ordered the JB4, BCM and bluetooth wireless kit at the same time so I requested them to connect everything together before shipping to me. All I had to do was run the OBDII cable and connect the JB4. Took me 40 mins or so.

so going back and forth with BMS, I may not need the BCM with Map 1 and 2. They recommend only blended fuel for higher boost levels, which I do have a E85 station not too far away but you think the BCM is necessary? I'm torn if I should get it or not, and what benefits will it bring to the table. Thoughts?

I think the age-old adage applies: it’s better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it - particularly if you continue to modify your car. I have been down this road on virtually every car I have owned, when you get used to the power your mods add, you crave more. Nature of the sickness I guess....

The same reason why I have no less than 3 sets of wheels, 3 sets of lowering springs/suspension, 3 different exhausts, 4 types of tuning box/ECU tune, and up till last week 2 different types of air intake! The only way to know for sure is if you try the products out for yourself and make a judgment.

Dafaq? This is crazy my dude. I try to rely on feedback from the forums when deciding which avenue to peruse. Seems like the voices of many help to make an educated decision so I don't end up with 3 sets of wheels, 3 sets of loweing springs and a partridge in a pear tree lolz
If everybody just waited to get a collective answer to a question whether a product is good or not, then who will be the ones forging ahead and trying new stuff to find out first hand?
I see more people asking than contributing on this forum.

l learnt very early on that the C43 section of the Forum isn’t a very good resource for technical information or expertise, save a few guys who actually know what they’re talking about.

Yes I agree, and I do like to mod one thing at a time to see the gradual changes than to do all at once, get bored and buy another project car.
I think I'll be happy with Map1 and 2 (I was told no BMC needed up to Map2 by BMS) for a bit, prob get the BMC before next summer to run at drag strips with E85.

I am still very new to all of this. I just bought a 2019 amg c43 this month. I installed the Jb4 and the BMS intake. I later realized that my top speed limiter still kicked in at 130mph. I was looking at flashing or adjusting my top speed limiter. I am not finding any information on flashing other than buying another tuner that does is. I read that I could get the Mercedes Star DAS and then just set plug in and adjust the top speed to a limit that the car wouldn’t be able to reach. I called some shops and I’m not getting any real answers. I was pointed to going to the Eurocharge shop in Houston, and having them take care to f it for me. They told me that they’d have to replace the ECU and then program. Quoted me $2000. This seems ridiculous does it not? Is this what you’re talking about when saying you’re stacking the JB4 and the EC tune?? I’m also hearing a pop at the end of 2 of my gear shifts, is this the misfire y’all are talking about?

I think it's 4psi and 6psi over stock right? I don't plan on running custom tunes or higher octane that often. It's a daily driver but would like to have the added power from time to time
