Looking to buy used JB1 or JB4
Thank you!
I have a 2017 GLC43 Coupe and I ran a 4.47sec 0-60 and a 12.7@109mph with the JB1. This was all done with 2 additional passengers and 93 octane with 70+% Humidity at about 80degree F night time weather.. (Also FI Exhaust and stock downpipes).
The BT module costs about 140 alone. Most people ask 400 for their JB4. The upgrade kit is 100 new. Overall this is cheaper than most people would sell their unit I think.

Without functions you will be locked to the default lowest map which is of course slower.
Without BT you need to use the data cable AND a notebook which needs to be attached to the JB1 WHILE the car is running.
Obviously this is very difficult since there is a long as fking cable you need to connect the JB1 and the notebook. Which means you.need your hood and window to be open. Also you cannot log unless you are actually driving so having you hood open is definitely a problem. You cannot log while the car is idle.
Anyways I made the mistake of trying to save money by getting the 30 dollar data cable instead of the BT module and quickly realized that the Data Cable was completely useless cause trying to log on a notebook while driving is not wise.
Trust me, you NEED the BT.
The BT is accessed through an app that you download through iTunes or Google play. It costs like 25 or 30 dollars. It is not transferable so I can't give you my app purchase.
Anyways you need the BT and it's already connected to the JB1.
Thanks
Which is another reason why not having the Bluetooth Module is a really bad idea.

If you decide to just purchase a regular JB4, just know that it will require alot MORE wire routing than the JB1, and it will also require you to cut through the grommet wall to connect to your OBDII. Which is the reason I did not upgrade to JB4 myself. The JB4 price of $580 also does not include the JB4 BT (which I am including). Confusing I know.
If I sell the JB1, I will just go full tune. Otherwise I will just stick with the JB1 (still not upgrading to JB4).
Even if you dont plan to change usermaps or use custom settings (for more boost), the Logging function is actually extremely useful. First and foremost, using the log function alone will tell you if the JB1/4 (or even your full tune) is working properly (without having to pay for a dyno session which is more than 140USD). You can tell if your JB1/4/Full Tune is working properly just by looking at the log because the log will tell you what boost you hit at each rpm. Basically If you are hitting 15-16psi max boost at the top of the gears in a pre facelift, the JB1 is working, because the stock max boost is 12.1psi.
