Tire Inquiry - Partial run flat / summer combo?

Tire Inquiry - Partial run flat / summer combo?
hey all.
so i took my C450 in for some warranty service and they recommended the rear tires to be replaced. no big deal. they are getting low.
as we all know, many of us here dont like the feel of the run flat tires. i wanted to switch to a nice performance tire (probably going to get the Michelin PS4S).
i guess my question is, since my fronts were replaced before i got the car, there is still some decent amount of tread left... would it be OK to replace just the rears as needed and make the switch to the PS4s?? or would it be advised to replace all 4 tires at the same time? not sure what the best plan of action is here and i dont really want to replace some decent tire if i dont have to (holidays coming up)... let me know what you think.

As long as you're changing an axle at a time, you're good. I did what you're proposing, but the opposite for about 12k miles before I chewed up my RF rears finally.
