What is the trim that the arrow points to in the picture called? Roof box trim? Does it come in any other color (haven't found any yet - they all seem to be silver)? What is it made of? Has anyone attempted to change the color? If so, how?

I believe it’s called Belt Molding. It should come in aluminum and black.

the night package does not make that strip black - i've seen them only in silver so far.

I have the night package and the carbon on the coupe and it has black..
Bought it used and it came that way, it is not wrapped or anything and I doubt the leaser did anything to it.

No idea what constitutes it... Haven't seen a cabriolet in person of the '17 yet.

correct, for a sedan and coupe the night package will make it black. Not for the cabriolet. For the coupe and sedan its just around the windows. for the cab it wraps around.
