Is there any way to get a 2020 C43 to start in 2nd gear from a stop?
I'm mainly asking because most of the time, I try to shift out of 1st gear as fast as possible. It's so short and torquey that I don't find much use for it unless I'm planning on flooring the car to race from a stop.
I looked up our 9-spd transmission gear ratios and our 1st gear is awfully torquey:
Is there any way to force the car to start in 2nd gear at all? I know that in the pre-facelift model, it was possible with the 7 speed.
It is not possible on my 2019. You might find more and more irritating things about this car that will frustrate you as you spend more time with it.
Definitely. The car has so many good things, but it's the smaller, more refined things that it's lacking. It is quite frustrating because it's like the engineers and development team didn't think about the actual driver use cases and how certain behaviors affect them on a day to day basis.
