Question JB4 Stacking vs EC Stage 2 C450

Hello guys, tuning noob here reaching out to ask C450 owners if anyone has stacked the JB4 on Eurocharged ECU Stage 1 Flash tune and can provide feedback? I've seen it done on 17-18 C43's with success but can not find much info on the C450.

I am currently running Eurcoharged USA Stage 1 tune. If I want to run E30 I will need the JB4, therefore, is it worth it for me to get the Eurocharged Stage 2 since my downpipes have cats or can I see those gains directly with JB4?

I do not know the difference between Eurocharged's Stage 1 vs Stage 2 in terms of ECU changes other than the code delete by having catless downpipes and boost increase.... Not a problem for me since the downpipes I have are catted (logos engineering motorworks). Is there anything the Stage 2 tune is doing other than delete o2 sensor codes and increase boost that would be deemed necessary when putting aftermarket downpipes?

From what I have read and understand, owners of PFL 17-18 C43 have seen the best results with JB4 and have been successful in stacking. I have seen mixed reviews between C450 owners and FL 19-20 C43's when running JB4.

Appreciate any inputs

The better the flash tune the better the JB4 performance. What we usually suggest is to leave JB4 on map0 once installed to start (disabled), and record a map0 log, so we can see how your current tuning looks and where we can safely add power.

Thanks for the response BMS!

I guess if my car is tuned already the baseline to add power would just be a little more aggressive already than the stock? So some of the maps would be too extreme and probably play around more with the lower boost ones or a the user defined?

If anyone is selling a used one, get ahold of me!

Usually we find we can add 1-2psi up top over existing flash maps, and then customers also like to be able to go up 2-3psi when they are on a higher octane mix at the track, for example. If you're RWD lowering boost in 1st gear is always popular too. You can go BELOW the flash value there if needed to get the launch down.

@ BMS - can you stack the JB4 on a stage 2 tune?

Thanks BMS!

Thank you MeerC450! How long have you been running E30 on your C450? Any issues / sounds anything at all with the car? Are you in a place with cold winter?

I am having my downpipes installed at Eurocharged in Buffalo, NY and they will also install Stage 2, I am pretty excited for it.

I think JB4 might still be very useful in the future as mentioned to find more boost when running higher octane if there is room for it?

I will learn the car a bit with the Stage 2 and see more about JB4 at a later time, appreciate the responses.

@MeerC450 Thank you for the reply. I put 3.5 gallons of E85 here in Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago and noticed my 60-130 time on draggy decreased. I haven't been able to prove if it was just conditions or if the E85 impacted it as I am not tuned for E30 (CAI and Eurocharged Stage 1 only currently).

I have read of members having limitations at higher speeds due to the pump sizes, so you're onto something with the HPFP. Not sure whether the Low pressure fuel pump is also needed in order not to starve the high pressure one... I'm not sure if you are aware but Martin Tuning website has them both for sale.

Do you have an E30 tune from EC? Or are you running E30 with JB4 on top of an EC Stage 1? Curious as to how you approached your solution!

but I’m confused, than why do u need the ec e30 tune in the first place? What is that giving u that the jb4 wouldn’t be able to give u alone ?
