beautiful car and was looking at that option but my first car was a c300 and always loved the c class body a little more. maybe if i spent more research and test drove one i wouldve gotten the e63 but when just looking i couldnt get over my clear bias for the c class

Why can’t people just like what they like? Why does a 63 owner even care about the perception of the 43? Is it like some kind of ego thing? Like, “I have the best inanimate object, even though Ferrari owners think I have a glorified taxi”?
I had a W204 C63 for 5 years. Loved it. I wanted to take a break from seasonal tire swaps and wanted AWD. I also got engaged, and wanted a car my fiancée felt comfortable driving.
C43 met those needs. With the equipment I selected, it was a little more expensive than my ‘13 C63.
Absolutely considered the W205 C63, but with the forced induction, it wasn’t nearly anywhere as special as my 6.2L NA, and in terms of usable power on the street, there was virtually no difference to me between the C43 and C63 from an acceleration perspective (except the C43 hooked up laughably easy on crappy stock all-season RFTs in wet conditions).
If the C63 was available in AWD, I probably would’ve given it the edge because I’m a sucker for the tone of a V8. That being said, on the street, there’s just not much difference between the 2 that doesn’t come down to personal preference.

I think the whole debate is asinine at best. I bought my c43 coupe, not for its AMG badge, but because I liked the car (fun car in stock form, extremely fun as modified). I would assume (or at least hope) that those with the c63 bought their car for the same reason. That is a lot of money to pay for a badge if not. Then, at the end of the day, why is the propriety of a manufacture’s decision to affix three letters to a car badge even relevant (let alone the apparent dispositive beginning and end of the discussion for some)?
In sum: (1) unnecessarily poking members to get a rise out of them and then calling them sensitive misses the point entirely: why does it matter to you, or anyone, in the first place?; and (2) on the other hand, why does it matter what anyone thinks anyway (enjoy the car you spent a considerable amount of money on)?
We are all more alike here than different. Why there is in-fighting among and between people so similar is beyond me. Since we
cannot dictate things outside our control; let’s all enjoy your cars and I can promise I will do the same.

PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
Ya I don't understand the fight at all. At the end of the day, we all drive Mercedes right, if that is the case, aren't we all supposed to be gentlemen since we are driving these cars?

1) Go to the User CP option on the main page
2) Scroll down to Settings and Options and select Edit Ignore List
3) Enter the username of each of the annoying posters

"Grow up kid" -Supremely mad forum poster with a C450
"The newest AMG, the “Mercedes AMG C43" was, up until a few days ago, referred to as the Mercedes Benz C450. The car got some small updates (including a new transmission), but the principal change was the name."

Do your best to avoid the clips from multiple places where stone stock C43s outrun C63's through the quarter. I wouldn't want your fragile ego shattered. A prepped race surface doesn't exist in most places, and AWD makes a big difference.

So if Cylinder Head can drive an E63 that's really just a 4.0 litre (E40?) . . . . and we all know that's not the real-deal NA AMG 6.2 liter . . . . . and the new 2022 C63 is going to be a-4 banger . . . why don't we just change our C43 emblems to those of a C63 and make everyone happy?
No more bad, bad, C43. Then we can all then come together in one big AMG 63 family. Just trying to take the high-road and appease these guys who are so hung-up on names.
Further, I could then eliminate these fine gentlemen from my Ignore List! (Give it a try, works great!)
Already working on a new ID Plate for our engine.
Jeez man . . . . .It's a real AMG!!!

because the C450 AMG is enough like it. Much like the FB forum that is C43/C63 Owners group. You keep stepping right in it and making yourself look foolish. You're the one that jumped just the other thread and immediately disproved the "classy" claim made by another C63 owner, literally right after him. It was actually poetic. He had to have face palmer over that one.

the lack of maturity and intelligence from 63 owners makes me so glad i didnt purchase one. Really tears away from the gentlemen-like experience i was expecting from a mercedes forum. All this talk from keyboard warriors makes me even more proud to own a C43 AMG

You're not wrong Darosen. You're new to the forums, but you've shown more class by far than the C63 guys. Welcome to the forum.
