So Comfort mode DOESN'T give you the quickest launch after all?

Many of us on here, myself included, have seen or experienced that leaving in the car in Comfort suspension mode result in a quicker acceleration due to the suspension in Sport+ being too stiff. However, in this video of a C43 vs a Genesis G70, it's clear that the car in Sport+ is noticeably quicker. Not sure why this is. Were we wrong after all or are other factors at play here?

I just drove a 2021 g70 and it felt super torquey and potentially even faster than the c43. So kinda surprised.

the rest of the argument I couldn't care less about. I drive in sport+ and manual 95% of the time.

To the best of my knowledge, I am not sure that people on this board recommend that “Comfort Mode” be used for fastest 0-60 and 1/4 miles times. Rather, the general consensus is that “Individual Mode” with everything set to Sport+ besides the suspension set to “Comfort” results in the best times. In terms of my personal experience I have seen this to be true.

It's exactly what C43heartboost said. Everything should be in Sport+ other than the suspension, which should be in comfort. In the videos, they were using comfort mode and sport+, which changed all the settings.

For any setting other than slippery, you will find that there is no difference in horsepower or shift points when the car is at WOT. I think this video illustrates this quite well.

Ah, yea I think what C43HeartBoost said is what I've seen people say. I forgot that in the video, the C43 driver was changing the entire setting itself and not just suspension.

is the C43 driver drag racing with the brake on? His brake lights are on for almost the entire run...???

Anyone else notice that on S+ on upshift brrrttt, there is slight hang where no speed is gain when the car need to let one fart out. Is it me or you pay more attention because of the extra pops unlike on other modes with normal pop?

You only get the brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrapp when holding WOT, if you let off a bit it just shifts hard as usual, but without the fanfare of the fuel in the exhaust popping....I must admit, it does sound pretty freaking wild....even my 63S doesn't do that!

Undoubtedly just had the pedal pressed enough to trigger the brake light but not any braking pressure. Mercedes (unlike Toyota used to do ... reference their "run-away" issues of many years ago) will actually shut down the throttle after a short interval of driving with the brakes and throttle on. A good safety feature, but annoying when you want to help bed in a new set of pads or just take the glaze off them. #;-)
