Just bought a 2018 C43
Hello,
I’m a new member. I’ve had 3 BMW’s previously with the last one being a 2013 335m. I’ve been looking at and wanting a C43 for the past year and as we all know they’re hard to find these days. I found one that I wanted to make a move on and purchased. Now me being ignorant to C43’s found out after the fact the one I bought didn’t have the led lights. I assumed that all C43’s would have those because they’re not a baseline model. So I signed the deal 2 days ago. So I figured I’m screwed….I have to imagine it would cost several thousand dollars to put the led headlamps in the car. Any suggestions?

It might be plug and play for base halogen but I also heard depending on the packages (like if you have the static one and want to go ILS, you need a conversion module). since you said you don't have LED lights then it might be be the base halogen. If you don't want to go OEM and have to use a conversion module, perhaps go aftermarket with the OEM like look. If you don't need the function of the ILS, you can skip the programming as well (I think?)
Other than that, congrats on your C43, I hope you enjoy it it as much as I enjoy mine!

Do you have a link to the listing, or can post a pic of the headlights on your car? Asking because there's sometimes some confusion between the "full" LED ILS headlights and the step down that still has LED running lights, headlights, but halogen high beams. Is it the LED DLR eyebrows you're looking for or the full articulating LED beams?

I’m looking for the light assembly that is non halogen…not quite sure what the exact term is for that…

Here is a link to upgrade to active look-alike Chinese aftermarket LEDs.
Are those standard bumper or AMG? Post more pics.

Wait, there are C43 with Halogen? I have never seen one with halogen, I thought all C43 come with HID or optional LED? Why the hell would Mercedes put halogen on cars with 60k MSRP?

I bought it from a local dealer and signed the papers two days ago. Like I said previously in the thread I just assumed a C43 would come with a led headlight package.

As for retrofitting lights, forum member star4life might be able to help you out if you live within his area.
Since the deal is already final, don't stress about it too much honestly after spending all this money you should enjoy the car, once you get behind the wheels and hear the exhaust noise you would forget about all this, hopefully : ) either way, I am sorry that this happened. Anyone would be surprised too at this price point if those are the lights they are getting, you are not alone.

Don't feel bad I bought the same car thinking it had LED headlights too. The car had all the LED options and I overlooked the one thing that's important. I changed the bulbs out to a whiter light and I'm moving on until I find a better quality option. Enjoy the new ride!

Best value for the money is the aftermarket active LED for $1500. One forum member already tried and spend thousands converting from halogen to LED. OEM route is just too expensive with OEM pricing and all the coding that need to be done.

Wow looks like we ended up with the exact same car haha….I mean I wish mine had a couple more options such as the 360 camera and parking sensors but the halogen lights are what really bothers me the most. I don’t have the performance exhaust and if I was 30 years younger that would probably bother me and I don’t have navigation either but I always used my iPhone for nav anyway when I had navigation in my BMW’s…oh well you live and learn I guess.

My impression is for me to go from halogen to LED would be several thousand dollars…is this not correct? I’d do it for 2k but not 4k
