Are you talking about the sound that alerts you that your engine is on and/or transmission not in park and there is a risk of vehicle rolling away? Ya, you can't turn that off.

None of those. Just opening the driver door makes an annoying DING.

Is the car running when it makes the ding? Or is it made when running or off?

Excuse the dirty AF interior, but I’m certain this is what he’s talking about. Probably baked in on the same level as blinker clicks, but so innocuous it’s a weird request.

If it is that, it just to let you know to not forget your key, I don't know if you can disable it, even with Xentry though but since people are able to disable the seatbelt warning chime with an OBD module, it is certainly possible.

Yeah I'm sure anything is possible with enough persistence, but it's such an odd thing to get hung up on

This might sound weird and you will disagree but to me I prefer this sound, I think of it as a "welcome" and "see you later" chime, you know, the car says hi, and apparently the auto adjust seatbelt to many can be considered as the car "hugging" you, which I guess it could be.

... ya and hopefully my statement on the (ding sound OP described) being like a welcome chime convinces OP otherwise or that if OP thinks of it that way, it might not be as annoying as OP thought it was. Good to think about the good side of things I think... Simple problem simple solutions : )
