Exclamation C43 Cranks and stops immediately

Was driving the car yesterday and only warning was the super vague "Park car and leave running" or whatever that message really means. Put it on the battery tender overnight. Today I tried to start the car and it cranks and sounds like it's about to start, and you can feel the car shake as the engine turns, but then it immediately stops. There are no other warnings, I read the codes and there are no codes. A/C works fine, stereo works, headlights, doesn't seem to be low on juice. I have a video of the issue, but the forum doesn't allow MOV larger than 20MB and doesn't accept MP4. So I have to create a youtube channel and will upload it there soon.

I also tried to use the key to manually start and have the same issue. I have no idea why it says service is 47k overdue, it was done recently by previous owner.

Any ideas?

Managed to get it to start right up when I jumped it with my Wife's Prius. So I'm not sure what the hell the battery charger was doing overnight. Once it fired up, it immediately displayed the "Park car leave running" message, so I think it's time for a new battery.

"Aux battery", under glove compartment. Common known issue.

Correct. I had this about a year ago. Easy fix.

Still doing it with a new main battery. Could it still be the Aux battery? After installing the new battery, the warning message did not come on. I managed to get it started after about 5 tries, then turning it off, it failed to start after about 10 tries, but the positive terminal was getting very hot so I didn't try anymore.

Yep, your main battery is done. Is this the first battery from 2017?. I can tell you this, the batteries take a hard hit all the time so they only last 3-4 years and will need to be replaced unless you have a battery AEG conditioner.

Anyone think it might be crankshaft position sensor? I pointed a fan at the battery to keep the positive terminal cool and managed to get it to start after about 25 tries, drove the car around aggressively, let it idle a bit, total drive was about 10 minutes and didn't get any warning messages to park car and idle.
It also doesn't have any issues driving wide open throttle, no sputtering or lurching, no rough idle, idle is smooth and solid at around 1k.

If you replaced the main battery without replacing the aux, you're just going to shorten the life of the main by that much more.

The start/stop (eco) system in this car kills batteries quick, it kills them even faster when the aux battery is bad/faulty.

Aux battery replaced today, issue still happening. On to the CPS, if that doesn't work, I'll drive over to the Grand Canyon and send it off a cliff.

*edit* I'm not even sure it's the CPS - from reading these forums about them, most people are complaining that their car died while idling at a light or something, which never happens with my car. Once it starts, it runs fine....

*edit 2* Ordered a CPS anyways. This is replaced from above the engine correct? I found some videos online for the w205, but people are going under the car, and the sensor they pull out looks like a Camshaft pulse sensor.

Somehow installing the new Crankshaft sensor made the problem worse - now the car won't even crank. Just makes a loud click and nothing else.
So now I need to take out the new sensor and reinstall the old one. At least with the old one I can get the car started after about 25 tries and drive it to a shop.

Ok, this is getting annoying now. I thought maybe somehow the *new* battery was drained a bit, so I jumped my car with my wife's, and it started first try. So the new battery was somehow dead already? I had it disconnected the entire time I worked on the sensor, so it was disconnected about 3 days. No idea how it's dead already. I need to put some more parts back on the car, then re-jump it and drive it around to see if the battery ever charges.

The saga continues.

Final post on this issue.
Hooked the battery up to a (different) tender overnight, tender had a green light when I checked this morning. Started the car up just now with no problems. So looks like problem is finally solved. But I believe this car had multiple issues during this whole ordeal.

Main issue of cranking but not starting - Crankshaft Position Sensor. Once this was replaced, that went away. Now it fires up every time.
Park car leave running - Aux "battery"/voltage converter replaced, fixed this warning (interestingly the old one was not browned on bottom....)
Service overdue 47k miles - Followed a guide to enable a hidden service menu to confirm service, message is gone now
Very hot positive terminal - took off the positive terminal and noticed it was very burned/charred on the bottom, replaced this as there was melted plastic on it. Found a new in box on Ebay. Now the terminal never gets hot.

What was the part number for the Crankshaft Position Sensor?
