For these few month, I just realized my PE exhaust become odd, most of times (around 70% of driving time) it works fine and loud enough, especially for up gear "bang", really loud.

But it will randomly quite( around 30% of driving time), I show you some cases.

1. When I do up gear aggressively, I am sure with enough high rpm, the "bang" still there, but much quite, sounds like "pu", like something block my exhaust, like phlegm stuck in the throat.
*Pops always there, and sounds normal, only bang very quite.
*If the case happen, whatever I switch between C to E to S to S+, even I turn off the car and restart, it is same, until maybe wait for half hour and restart, it will become loud again.

2. Sometimes when I driving in gear 3, rpm around 3000-4000, the exhaust sound gone for 3-4 sec(just the exhaust sounds, not bang or pops), during these 3-4 secs, the sound totally gone, and sounds like in comfort mode with PE button off. Then the exhaust back to normal.

All cases I am in S+ mode and PE button ON.

I have been monitor these case for 2 month, and go through some existing post here, oil tem is fine(93-105 °C), always use 98 oil, outside tem is around 12-20°C, no software update so I believe not software issue?

It is just very random, I can't find the any pattern of it, and I tried changed the spark plug, but issue still there.

I am 2017 C43 with PE option, no tune, everything stock.

I've been having the same thing happen. I usually just press the exhaust button and turn it on again.

It could sometimes glitch and like others mentioned the value might not be open even if the exhaust button is pressed and a red light is illuminated, the rest is simple just turn it off and back on again. Have that work for you OP?
