Studs and lug nut conversion
Has anyone done a wheel studs and lug nut conversion on their car? All my previous German cars, Bimmers and Porsches, had lug bolts and I changed them out for studs, but I'm having difficulty finding suitable kits for my C43.

If you've ever changed wheels very often you would understand that studs are so much easier than lug bolts. Yes, I know about wheel hangers, even have some, but I pull my wheels off for brake work, and simply to clean the wheels more thoroughly. I guess it goes back to my track guys when I would change from street tires to race rubber and studs are universal for that application. German car makers went to bolts a couple of decades ago, more for cost than anything, but I'm old school and don't likenthem.

THanks for your reasoning.
I know wheel studs and have R&R many MB & BMW tires/wheels as I worked on independent MB service shop when I was a teenager.

Nice. I received my studs and lugs yesterday from motorsports hardware, only downside is I'd prefer black lug nuts but they were only available in silver.

I've had mine for a couple years now. Makes switching wheels way easier. I paired them with some JDM lugs, I recommend this mod, quick clip below of mine installed:

I run a 10mm spacer in the front and no spacers in the rear on my 19'' BBS wheels and no issues in past couple years. Make sure to torque the studs to 25 ft lbs, i believe it was, and use RED loc tight and cure for 24 hrs or they will loosen up.

I went with 65mm studs because I didnt want the studs to go past the project kics lug nuts. I wanted them to tuck inside for the clean look.
