Does anyone know what the offcial launch date of the C63 is going to be?

The lease on my C55 is going to be up in May of '08 and I would love to switch over to a C63 at that time but it looks like the C63 will not be out yet...?

I'm nervous because I might be stuck in a rough spot as I don't have interest in anything else really at this point. A C350 is out of the question and an E63is a bit expensive and not what I'm looking for anyway as they are just too big to have much fun in other than a straight line.

Well, it will be released sometime between May and August of 2008 for sure!! The main speculation which I heard from my local dealer is that it will be released sometime in November/December of this year!! I will have to see it to believe it.

There is no US production listed at this time for 2007 so dont expect to see it this year. No official announcement has been made, but best guess would be to see it mid 2008 as a 2009 model. You may be in decent shape. Perhaps you could extend your lease a few months if nec.

Man, I hope by mid year '08. But yes, I could extend my lease a few months as well I guess. I love this car so much, even after having it in two accidents. One T-Bone and one fender bender.

May to August 2008 sounds right, but you never know with Merc. They could bring it out a few months earlier or a few months later. If they do come out in say May of '08 my guess is though that if unless you've ordered one they will be tough to get until the fall/winter of '08.

I plan to lease a 335 coupe to replace my C32 and then go back to AMG with a used E63 or new C63.

I just leased a 335 sedan.. It's a fun car! Still haven't opened it up much, just crossed 500 miles.

My last three cars: 330i.. C32, 335i.. I think that makes the C63 the next obvious choice.. LOL I'll be looking in 2010.

I just put $1000 down for one. I will be one of the first ones to get C63 in midwest. Dealer said maybe around march 2008. Base price is around 60K, loaded around 70K. Now I just need to pick up color and options....

My lease also expires in May '08. If I want this car, I'll probably extend my car for 3 months. The lease payment will come down and I can grab a C63 with the perfect options. At least, I'm hoping that a couple of months after the release of the C63 availability will come way up. Of course, I'll probably be tempted to be the first guy on the block with one lol.

FYI, Mercedes AMG website says in July 2008 "the fog will be lifted" on the C63. Assuming that means July 08. There you have it, straight from the source.
