MY 08 Order Just Got Canceled
:( My dealer just called to inform me that my 08 order that was supposed to be built this week just got canceled. My order was rolled into a 09. He did not say whether the dealership did this or MB did it. Has anyone else heard if the last run of 08 models were stopped. He claims that my order will be one of the first 09 runs and I should have the car sometime in July. Now I have to wait longer.

if youre buying the 09 will hold on to its value a little bit longer also, you no have the option of adding either carbon fiber or performance package to your order if that floats ur boat |
They were going to discount the 08 $2000 since it was coming in so late and they claim that they are going to do a little something on the 09 since the order got canceled. I did not want to get the 030 package due to the stiffer ride and I kinda like the black maple wood. I know in the long run the resale will be better on the 09 and I only usually keep cars for 2-3 years so it will be better. I am just bummed that I have to wait another 2 months. I have been waiting since October so another 2 months is not that bad.

I can believe they are done with the 08 slots, that's probably why they canceled. My '09 beast is going to be "born" on 6/4.

There are cars out there on dealership lots that are unsold. Unless you ordered a truely unique C63, I'm sure there are cars out there you can buy immediately.

You probably got bumped by someone who wanted your car and paid a little extra cash or was much tighter with the dealership. I called up my dealership and asked them if they could get me a C63 asap and they called me back in a minute and said they have a black one on order, but they can just bump him off the '08 list and send him into '09.
