i am considering the 09 C63 to replace my aging m3. one concern is the nav system; i am used to having full control of the nav whilst driving eg change destination, search for gas station etc. there seems to be a trend in newer vehicles to disable the nav functions whilst moving. is this also the case for C63?

There is some debate as to whether or not this is the case. I did not run into it yet - and fwiw, the video in motion mod fixes this for those that do have it (in addition to letting you watch video and add a reverse camera).

Buy the car and enjoy! I came off an e86 M Coupe. LOVE the C.

The Nav system is fully controllable whilst moving. If you get the linguatronic option you wouldn't even need to touch the knob to find destinations; the new system is very adaptive and responsive to voice commands and can even be customized to your own voice tone (although sometimes it is still a headache to get a command through..)

The best part is you don't have to push the stupid lawyer button for the MB Nav to work.

Judging by his sig plate - this person is from Dubai - so options there may be different. We have it as part of the Nav or Premium not sure - but it's there... MB's fancy way of saying speech recognition.

On the test drive, our nav was fully programmable while driving - voice or "iDrive".

After just getting out rid of my 07 Lexus IS350, I can assure you the nav system in the C63 is substantially more user friendly.

There are ways around the restriction while moving. You could always research on how to do it, and which wires to splice etc.

My '09 PP USA car will not allow the nav to be programmed while moving. Can my dealer enable this?

Can't use NAV while moving >5mphish in US, you need the VIM unit to disable this.
