I can't understand how someone who owns a C63 couldn't appreciate a CTSV. I myself pretty much like anything real fast and would have to drive both cars before picking one (if I was in a position to do so). I post on SVTperformance.com a lot because even though it is a Ford SVT site, for the most part anyone's welcome and most all understand that there is always someone with a faster, better, badder car then yours. Get used to it and be glad that we live in a time when there are 500hp four door sedans waiting on showroom floors. Who cares what showroom.
My God,... a whist of fresh air. Long overdue!

LOL. I myself was a Acura forum dude way back then... a certain handful of people here sure sounds like your typical fan boy with deeper pockets or richer parents (I'm not sure). Even if they claim that they are not, their comments tell otherwise.

Hey 2ton, always loved those svt lightnings. Probally the best looking sports pickup ever made. Wanted to get one as a winter vehicle until i realized they're rwd. Thats a big no can do in the chicago winters.

Yeah, with 520 ftlbs of torque, dry pavement is slippery. Mine rarely see's the rain and will never see the snow. But yeah they are fun. Easy to make fast and mine being a low 12 second truck it will surprise quite a few "fast" cars on the street (including a C63).
I needed a HotRod that I could keep my surfboard in while I was at work. fits the bill perfectly.

Oh but wait, this is an MB forum. Sorry.

That's true,... even among those of us who do have MB's in our stable, I would bet most wished those MB's were C63's! At least I do. Think about it,... a raging and angry Raven Black CTS-V nestled alongside a sweet-n-sexy Obsidian Black C63 w/PP with a Black Widow complex in your garage,... well any human being with ********* would die for that. Yeah,... I'd say we have the right to talk about something else.

Quick question for the C63 pilots,... how much is MB charging these days for TeleAid subs? After rollin' with OnStar for nearly two months, I'm seriously thinking about re-activating my TeleAid in the C32. I do understand that I have to get the system converted from analog to digital,... that price is doable. But I can't seem to get a fix on what the sub is, and would like to know that before deciding whether or not spending money on the conversion makes sense. Thanks!

It did die,... well not exactly. It excused itself to go hybrinate sometime back in May. I promised to share with a few posters if I should ever come up against a C63. Just keepin' ma promise.

I'm guessing he walked the C63 in his '09 s/c'd CTS-V, unless the C63 had a tune...then it would be interesting.

Well let's just say the ole CTS-V didn't do as well as I thought it should have done. And can we just leave it at that? I don't wanna talk about it anymore!

Ok so you raced a C63 and instead pulling 6 cars like you thought you would pull on it, you managed to only pull 2-3 cars? The new CTS-V stock vs stock will take a **** on a C63. I think and i hope everyone knows that.

Really? Do you know if the C63 AMG was tuned? I thought the CTS-V traps ~ 118-119mph in the 1/4mi. any day of the week. I know the V is heavy @ > 4,000lb. but that thing has a detuned s/c'd ZR-1 engine making 556HP...so what's the deal?

You guys just sit back relax and give it a few days.

A forum member here wants to run his 09 CTS-V and I will be running him. We will get a C63 out there also so we will have all 3 cars in 1 night with videos to see what happenes. We just havn't set up a date yet which I'm going to try to push before this monday before I go on vacation for a week.

Yes, however, if they were racing side by side - heat the same for both so no excuse here...

Oh yeah, that's right... they had to SUPER CHARGE the V to get that level of performance. Perhaps that has something to do with it?

I naturally aspire.

^^^^I like NA too but the same could be said for most of AMGs lineup. And trust me, they didnt have to supercharge it.

Man this thread has some legs!
All I know is that we live in some pretty cool times when these two mnfgs, Mercedes and Cadarack make these two muscle cars.
