What do you do when you meet an M3, IS F, or RS4 on the road?

When I first got my M3 about 2 weeks ago, I saw a silver C63 on the 15 here in SD. He had a personalized license plate that said something CEO, and it looked like the car had some minor mods. I pulled up next to him, he looked to be in his mid to late 40's, and gave a thumbs up 
.
He looked at me with this "I am the sh.t" kind of look...nothing. Not a smile, not a wave...just nothing.
I drove off feeling slightly bummed, but then started to smile when I remembered I had the same car as him, at half his age.

You guys are so funny LOL... I'm too chicken to go faster than 80mph in a long period of time on the freeway...I live in Socal, I'm asian, and I look alot younger than my age hence I'm the perfect suspect haha...

Thanks for generalizing. Are all S-class owners as condescending as you? No one here is condoning street racing. But I would suspect that if you had a C63, you'd be hard pressed not to let the hooligan in you reveal itself from time to time. Instead of ordering others to grow up, maybe you just need a sense of perspective.

My perspective is just fine: Street racing is juvenile, stupid, and dangerous. it reeks of small man syndrome and insecurity to have to challenge other drivers on the street. If you want to race, and thats great if if you do, then go to a track. period.
When your wife/children/parents/friends get hit by a street racer, maybe YOUR perspective will change.
Yeah, at 25, I have become a grandfather. Amazing the times we live in.
The cobra is a street car. I drive it aggressively, but I do not street race it. The only time it really gets run very hard is on mountain drives with the Porsche club, and there is no racing that goes on during these events.

Yes we sure are. But then again, its pretty easy to be condescending when you've seen innocent people killed by street racers just looking to have some fun. You don't condone street racing, but it appears you participate, which makes you even more guilty.

So anyway, back on topic, has anyone noticed how it mostly seems to be drivers of more pedestrian vehicles, such as G35s, Integras, Preludes, and (sorry Oliverk) Mustangs, that tend to be more "up for it"? I very rarely see an M3, RS4, or IS F (the cars I originally mentioned in this thread) whose driver seems eager to drive their cars in a spirited manner. Oh, and pick up trucks, those are always trying to goad me into racing for some strange reason.

No one said street racing isn't childish or stupid or dangerous. But then again, no one said anything about street racing either. Are you always this self-righteous? For a 25 year old, you will have lots of lessons to learn in life yet. A little humility would seem to be a good starting place for you.
I of course have many life lessons to learn. But I have already learned an important one, that some here have not. Street racing should not be engaged in.
I'm not sure why you think I should be humble, as this post as nothing to do with bragging or anything of the sort.

i usually drive up next to the car and give them a heads-up and if they want to race, then I do.
i raced an R8 and Modena the other day. C63 kept up and i have to admit the exhaust sound on the R8 is awesome.

I think it's pretty simple Oliver. None of us defines what we're doing as "Street racing." That is up to the LEO and courts to decide. You're looking at the C63 forum through the goggles of a 25 year old driving an S-class. If you want to psychoanalyze, pigeon-hole and preach to us, then.... you've left yourself wide open.....

im always down to have fun on the roads as long as its safe to do so, but unfortunately nobody will play. i always hear about everyone else getting challenged though! grr its all just for fun anyways.

Getting another driver to "play" is not indicative of street racing? What are you planning on doing with them? Going to dinner and making out? come on, we both know that you plan to engage them in a contest of acceleration. Reading between the lines in this case is not difficult.
