I don't think I've really insulted the car, have I? I certainly haven't call the car crap. If only one person decides, "hey, maybe this kid has a point", and doesn't race on the street, it was worth it.

You can't be a day older than 18 (especially judging from your nonsense in the CTSV thread). Most youth simply have no idea of the possible consequences of their actions.

Its absolutely your choice. And then when you kill someone because you were street racing, you lose your car, get charged with a felony, and go to federal prison. Then what? You've just ruined whatever chance of a life that you had because you love the Adrenalin and excitement, safe or not. Do you ever consider anyone else before you act? I'd love to see you in a courtroom, speaking to the husband of the mother and father to the child that you murdered in your vehicle because you wanted some excitement.

I think its okay to "play" with your car occasionally in a safe environment, otherwise, what's the point of buying a high performance car? I agree if you drive 100mph weaving in and out of the traffic is dangerous and I don't do it very often like I used to do when I was in high school. I'm glad that I'm still alive, and driving my ///AMG

OKKKK, I’m 25 and started my own corp which consists of two franchises that I built from the ground up... Don’t insult my intelligence or the fact that I am younger than you. This is just an example about how clear my conscious is and how focused of a person I am day to day, instead of some stoner 18 yr old that you were referring to.

Did it ever occur to you that some people just aren’t as straight and boring as you , and that there are people out there who enjoy taking risks and living life on the edge (for whatever reason). Gambling is also another great example of this; I bet you’re the type who is too scared gamble large amounts of money… Or even risky stocks that yield large gains…

I didn’t specify what I consider "street racing" and what I do to get that adrenalin rush I was talking about, but you jump to conclusions and start accusing me of endangering other people and going to prison... Believe me it IS possible to street race sometimes without endangering anyone else…

Man, I have driven for over 25 years in Europe alone (US military in Europe) This person that condems everyone for their driving should come to Europe and see the driving over here because he would have chit fit and probably get himself killed for driving too slow!! It is alot harder to get a drivers license over hear than in the states and people over here are better trained and qualified. When I come home for leave to the New York area I just shake my head when I see so many poor drivers.The rate of speed in the states is slow when compaired to Germany so its not the high speed that kills its training and mentality.You have to work for a license over here, in the states we just give it away and believe me there is a difference between high speed driving,racing or reckless driving.

Could not agree more. I find a lot of North American drivers take offense to things that wouldn't even raise an eyebrow in other countries. I'm all for safety first and all that, but an astute driver should be able to master the true capabilities of the car he's piloting. Our driving instruction here in this part of the world does one thing and one thing only: it sets up future generations of drivers for failure (when confronted with anything but the tamest of driving conditions).

I'm not sure how that's on-topic, but since I started the thread, I'll take a bit of creative license with my post. LOL

Trust me, I'm a german citizen, I know all about how different the driving is over there.

That said, I think what you've done is helped to prove my point.

First off, I have no problems with driving fast. Doing 120mph on a billiard table smooth autobahn is no big deal for really any mercedes.

That said, when every single person out there has had to pass the strict licensing system, the game changes.

When you drive quickly here, you have no idea when some 90 year old half blind snow bird is going to come into your lane. The commandment of stay right except to pass is unknown. But when everyone is highly trained and of a higher skill level, the collective danger to driving more quickly is decreased.

While I still think street racing would be dangerous in germany simply due to the mechanics of it, I agree that aggressive driving is far safer in countries where people actually know how to drive.

I'll put it slightly back on topic :o I went to test drive the is-f yesterday, I was thoroughly impressed. The power was very linear, the steering was tight and it hugged the curve pretty damn well. I probably pushed the car at 6/10 of its limits and I felt that if I pushed it harder it would still be pretty effortless. The looks on the other hand left something to be desired. I feel that the car is going to look "old" fast. Hell to me it already looks like it's a 10 year old car. The interior looks like an accord as oppose to a luxury sedan, meh. If it had better aesthetic, I would have thought twice about the c63, but it doesn't. :o

I can't say the same for the c63 I test drove because I barely pushed it :o The mercedes salesman wasn't too happy when i tried to a few time. Oh well, I'm still sticking with the mercedes.

I wanted to test drive the RS4, but the local Audi dealership closed down.

Well I have to say you seem to be an impossible person to deal or talk to and like to turn the table and feel you are always in the right. I doubt very much you know much about the autobahn system here and not all roads are smooth as a pool table, some of the autobahns are from the Hitler period which were built with concrete blocks. The pool table road fable is just like the one that no one pays for health care over here, by the way they pay thru the arsh with taxes for their health care (Socialist gov.)

There is no comparison between the roads in the US and those in germany. While they all may not be billiard smooth, most of the unlimited sections are pretty damn well paved if you ask me.

I certainly wouldn't know that though despite flying to frankfurt, and driving to my relatives in Kandern and Manheim.

I think we can all agree that any sort of driving is safer when everyone on the road has more training than less training, right?

If you don't like a certain behavior you need to stop reinforcing it. Can we all agree to stop posting responses on this thread that do not address the question posed in the title? This thread is like my 3 and 5 year old arguing with each other - "he's touching me!" "she started it!" "no I didn't!" "yes you did!" "NO I didn't!" "YES you did!" Only in this case we can't start smacking each other like my kids always end up doing. Neither instance results in a productive process.

(I realize that I just broke that rule myself, but this will be the last time.)

Last night I went to a work function at Dave & Busters for my staff, and on the way there I came across a bunch of souped up Mustangs and an M3. This never happens when the weather is good - so of course it was pouring rain all night so there was no fun to be had

My friend has the ISF and the C63 is quicker confirmed, seen M3's and RS4 on the road and if we usually have a play around. And give the thumbs up! (any ideas how to post pics from a blackberry on here?)
