custom wheels !!!

I think hre's are a great wheel and i give credit to those who had them first but now they are starting to become the only wheel i ever see on the c63 . They look outstanding but has anyone done anything else for the c63 ? I would like to see a set of 360forged or some dub 3-piece carbon fiber on a c63 . Anyone have any personal pics of their c63 with some custom wheels ( color matched , carbon fiber , 2-tone ) ? I know that everyone has a different opinion on what is nice and what is not but i was just trying to get some different options for the c63 since the the big brakes get in the way .

These wheels have been made and are being shipped to me right now.....
( color matched white face with carbon fiber lip )
I like my cars to have some "show" and some "go" .

I hav an order in with 360 forged but they hav serious issues and may not be able to fulfill their order - but we shall see

if it doesnt work out Im planning on having something made that is very similar to the 360 forged mesh 8/D2forged VS-1

The reason people buy HRE wheels is that they are the best. No other wheel brand can compare other than BBS.

Most people that buy a C63 are interested in the performace of the vehicle, and HRE makes light weight performance wheels. Those DUBS you're ordering look like they weigh a ton of bricks, and will most definitely take away some of the performace of the car.

If you're looking for pictures of aftermarket wheels, just use the search function.

btw...that configurator is fun to mess around with

There's no substitute for HREs. Why settle for an inferior wheel maker? 360 has so many issues ranging from overselling, financial, customer service, reselling used wheels, and just plain fraud. BBS, Dymag, and maybe Klassen are the only other maker that comes somewhat close to HREs.

I agree that the hre's are probably the best when it comes to performance . Thats why i said that i think that everyone has their own taste and nobody should say negative things about it . Even if my wheels are "a ton of bricks" , i am going to enjoy the look of them anyway . If all i bought the car for was the performance factor , i would have gone another direction with the wheels . I want the "show" and the "go" .

props to all benz owners no matter what you do to them

What makes me very hesitant with wheels is the fact that I normally gravitate toward wheels with a nice big polished lip. Problem is, with our cars, there is very little room to work with. Also, when it comes to wheels, i personally have a predilection for 20s which are very hard to pull off on the C with out sacrificing alot of performance. Just my thoughts...

Speaking of wheels, anyone seen any BBS LM's on a c63? Would they fit? Those could compliment our cars pretty well with regard to looks and performance, no?

Honestly....if you bought the C63, you bought it for the performance aspect. If you wanted something for looks, should have stuck with a C300/350 and swap out the bumper and hood, and toss on quad exhaust. Then taken the extra $20k left over and put it into a savings account

LMs are timeless

Ahh I see, that's such a bummer. The LM s would look great. It's so damn hard to find a compatible wheel for this car.

Azn c300 is correct that if you bought the car for just for the looks , that would be stupid , but i see nothing wrong with having a car that can win a show and then go to the track and put down some strong numbers . I see everyone in the tuner , hot rod and streetrod industries creating works of art from cars with both looks and power . Why should it have to be any different with a benz ? I have my showcar which is a full custom clk 430 but i wanted something with more power to be able to play with and still have the show quality in it .

you guys can check out my clk on cardomain....
click on events
then click view all
go to the 2nd page to the super tunerz showoff in el paso , tx

it was the first show of the f4 challenge this year

you can also check out our widebody bmw , widebody passat and audi tt

HRE's are by far the best wheels money can buy! BBS wheels are ok, but they can't compare with HRE...
