Taking my 2009 C63AMG w/PP LSD to Sebring 5/02
Gone but not forgotten:
1997 M3
2000 Boxster S
2002 M Roadster
2003 M5
2006 997 S
Have fun.
The brakes never faded and I am telling you they were put to full use. One straight away I reached around 130-135 (not much time to look) and then you have a 90 degree right turn! Threshold braking throughout the track. Each session was about 30 minutes.
An absolute blast and the car is much better than I am a driver.

i think a S2000 is better for a beginner such as me!
like what op said, i highly suggest fellow c63 drivers to take your cars to the track, its totally a different driving experience that you would never have on the streets.
and i find myself driving less of a douche on the street ever since i came back from the track.

Don't feel bad -- a well set-up S2000 is killer on the track! It's a great car for beginners or anyone!
Not having to worry about "bending" your $70K, 4000lb German tank means you have a lot more fun IMO. There are some extremely fast track S2K's here in California.

When you're in S (Sport mode), then yes the shifts are slow to go into the next gear at whatever speed you're traveling in...
But like I said, in manual mode it's completely different.
