Search is on for a preowned C63 or GULP ISF
Hey guys, i'm posting in this section as it has a lot of traffic, and we have quite a few Canadian members. I test drove an ISF and loved it, and the only other car i'm considering is the C63, i haven't driven one, none of the dealers have one etc etc.
I liked the ISF, and i've found quite a few under 60 000$ which is my comfortable budget. I haven't for the life of me been able to find an 08 C63 anywhere. I was wondering if anyone can help me look for one, and if you have compared both cars to give some insight.
I'm a big guy, 6'3 260 lbs and fit comfortably in ISF, never sat in a C63 so donno.

C63 AMG(sold), 2009 CL550, 2010 S550 Majestic Black, 2010 ML550, 2006 C230, 2009 Venza
Bro, i test drove the IS-F before buying my C63. I was impressed allright, until i sat on the ///AMG. There is just no justice, the sound, the engine, the seats, everything. The only thing i like on the ISF better is the interior, it does look nice, specially at night. Yet, dont make any choice without test driving the C63 first or you might regret it later...Also, if your concerned about fuel comsumption, the C63 is not for you.

fuel consumption doesn't matter, i just want a nice fast 4 door car.
i like the interior of the lexus more though for sure. I just need to sit in the seats as i'm very wide (back)

I test drove the c63, Is-f and M3 within the past two months. The IS-F has better technologies and its cabin looks cooler at night with all the gauges. You get an awesome nav, back up camera, and push button start with the lexus. Plus the service can't be beat.
For the c63, you get better seats, better engine note and a nicer steering wheel. the stereo and nav system is nice but not quite as strong as it is in the lexus. The back seats in the c63 have more room. Plus the c63 feels more solid. The down side is less standard options and not so good service departments.
For me, the m3 was the best compromise of the two in term of looks, performance, driving, and service.

'08 C63 AMG (turned in for lease)
Well don't worry about fitting in the C63 cuz I'm 6'8'' 220 pounds and i fit fine. I went to the dealership and had them get rid of the stopper on the seat tracks which allows an extra 4 inches of room to go back. My buddy has an IS-F and its fast, but nowhere near my C63. I have the Kleemann ECU tune which is 1,500 and gets you up a little over 500 hp. I haven't raced him yet, but I know it wouldn't be close.

ara, you should try to find someone with a C63 to give you a little ride, let you sit in it and take a real close look at the car, you will more than likely choose the merc over the toyota, good luck.

the problem is that i need to find an 08 c63, there are none, not even used for sale. i've checked autotrader etc. don't know where else to check. i've found 6 isf's as one of my clients works at lexus and he has a few clients trading in cars soon.
i want to buy within next 2 weeks. don't want to wait.

My debate right now is whether to get a 2009 or order 2010. I sold my M3 on Monday.

i have 4 people i know with m3, and at least 4 with 335i coupes. I don't want the bmw, the power and sound didn't impress me, i felt it needed mods.
isf when i drove it, i felt that it needed nothing, loud when you want it, comfy when you want it.
within 2 weeks i will buy a car. So far ISF is the only one that i can get a great deal on as one of my customer's works at lexus and is setting me up with the manager's demo. gonna get the car under 15 000kms for 53000$ i won't be financing much and i'll have a tiny payment.
c63 i missed one a month ago, white, 59 000$ but wasn't ready to make a move then.

Just get the IS F. It's an excellent sports sedan, made by a company that's known for quality and service and which isn't about to file for bankruptcy. To top it all off, it gets you 450 km to a tank in mostly city driving (according to a friend who has one).
Maybe CDN Rockies can chime in as he only just recently traded in his IS F for a Merc.
