Question about oil change
Sorry to make multiple threads but I need some advice on oil change for the C63.
My car is two weeks old and was manufactured in 10/08. It probably came to the US around Jan of 2009. So I assume the same engine oil was in it for over 6 months when I purchased the car. Should I be getting a oil change asap?
Also, what is the oil change schedule for the C63? How fast should one get the first oil change (1k, 5k, 10k miles?) and how often?
I was quoted over $200 bucks for a oil change by some dealership, is this the norm?
Those of you who do your own oil change, what oil do you use? I'm thinking of buying the correct oil and taking it to a local mechanic, would this be ok?

My first oil change was at 10,000KM did it at friends shop but i did it for taking the car to the track...
but then at 12,000KM i took it to dealership for oil change again due to service A and yeah..
but it takes like 8-9 bottles of oil if you do it your self, at 12 bucks a pop you do the math

fwiw, my car was built in July 08. It was sitting on the lot until May 09. I called MBUSA and they said to change the oil.
Go to a GOOD Indy. And take the time to find one who actually knows what they're doing.
I do oil changes with synthetic every 7.5k. And on my own nickel. I don't care what anybody else says. There's an internet full of all sorts of oil change info. Everybody and their monkey has an opinion. If in doubt get your oil analyzed when it's changed. Then you'll know for sure. http://www.lnengineering.com/oiltesting.html
