If I knew to a certainty of values 3 years from now, Id be a lot richer

The problem today is the car is already driven down in value, as you can see, others are getting 10-12k off MSRP which wont help in your quest to obtain the 50% of MSRP 3 years down the road. With 30% down you will be fine in being able to sell or trade out of it but will you get the number you expected? Who knows where the used car economy will be in 3 years but today its in the toilet especially for luxo units like the AMG. The C class base units fare better (300 and 350) in resale. With todays low low interest rates, 3.90 at 60 or even lower with equity structures, Id hold onto the 30% down and just take advantage of the low selling price. Put that 30% down into a account or fund that will pay back at a much better rate of return than 3.99. Yes your payment will be higher but you will have the money in the bank to cover it.

If anyone is considering a brand new 2009 C63, black on black, loaded except PP, please PM me. I'll put you in touch with my friend/sales rep at my dealership. I know he is ready to give a "sick" deal to someone that I refer him to. It's not fair for me to post what he'll sell it for, so I'd put you directly in touch with him on that subject. I get nothing, just a good feeling that I helped someone get one of their "dream cars". Plus, I'd like to help my buddy move one hell of a car. Oh, and maybe he'd help me a little more on my E63, but with the C63 at such rock bottom prices, not sure if he's even making a few hundred $ on the deal. It's in Pittsburgh, PA.

I am on the hunt for a great deal on a new 09. I really prefer the PP because I want limited slip differential, but would consider any possibilities. jbtrichel@aol.com

thanks!

After much searching and reading on this site and a couple dealer phone calls, it appears $10-12k off MSRP is happening pretty regularly now, including the $7500 trunk money.

Good stuff Vic, Thanks!!! I would hope after 3 years that i could get 30K back, but I dont think that will happen. Probably will still pull the trigger.

thanks

I've already had one dealer tell me the cash back was only good through July. So, is it July or August? Also, will the 2010s drive the price down further once released? I would think so.....

I've been told a few times that the $7,500 rebate is good through Aug 31, 2009, but they could extend it until the 2010's arrive. I would think under normal circumstances, the 2010's could certain drive the price down further, but with a $7,500 mfgr-dealer rebate already in place and dealers heavily discounting the C63's to this levels, they may not go much lower if at all.

I agree with sflgator. I think the rebate is confirmed through end of July, but I'm confident they'll extend it through whenever they run out of the 2009's. At these discounts, I don't think it will be long.

I think the only risk in waiting is not getting the car optioned as you may want.

If you want to make a run, go for it. I'd rather have black....Good luck!! Let me know how it turns out...If you don't get it, I might try and change the interior myself down the line....

wow, after I had to convince the guy I was really in Iraq and that yes I really wanted to ship the car to my home in Alaska I think he is starting to beleive me. Man, Im ready to pay cash for this car and it seems like I cant give anyone money. Unreal, anyways it seems like a pain for him to try and arrange shipping, but he said he will look into it and get back to me... still dont think he beleives me or just doesnt want to deal with it... not a good way to do business IMHO.

Yeah...I'm in Basra right now, so I can understand!! It's hard to believe, but I've had many dealers not return emails, etc. You would think they would be working with more of a sense of urgency to move these cars. I don't see the unemployment rate improving anytime soon...

nice, (not really nice, but you know what I mean) the closest place to me is Balad. This is my second time, cant wait to get home. I bought an STI from here last time and it was seriously no hassle at all, so im getting a bit frustrated.

DAMN!!!! That one is fully loaded, even with the Perf. Package...for < $56k!!! That's the best deal I've seen so far; and I wanted the PP, but didn't get it on mine. It says a gray/black interior...is that gray leather then? If so, then, I don't feel as bad. But, even so, I really think someone should jump on this car immediately...what a phenomenal deal!!!!!

No, I believe it's a gray leather (like in the reg. C-class). I just got off the phone with the sales guy @ MB of Hagerstown (just for the heck of it), and they won't budge on the price (which makes sense, they're offering the fully loaded C63 w/ P2, Leather, Multimedia, iPod & Perf. package at $55.9k, > $14k off MSRP! ) and shipping cannot be included in the deal.

Anyway, someone is going to get one helluva deal on a fully loaded C63 AMG there...good luck guys!
