Can't wait to see the dyno sheet.

Did you do a baseline, Soldier? If yes, what type of dyno was it done on?
I did not I wish I would of had done one tho. I will try to dyno the car next week. BTW video coming up with the IS-F race this weekend! He has about 450 hp with intake and cats removed

also new MPG record= 6.6 MPG today i should off had taken a pic of that!!!

Obviously, that was during your new "tune testing," but seriously...does the Kleemann ecu flash tune reduce your mpg (even if you're just cruising around without really stomping on it )?

I remember reading somewhere people were noticing ~+2mpg. Not sure if this was K1 or K2.

The gains are typically 40-50whp in 4th gear. This was after ~250miles. 5th gear is closer to 30-35whp.

Did you guys notice any increase in fuel economy under normal driving conditions or are these tunes mainly modified when under WOT?

So here are a couple questions for those K1 tuned C63 guys...

I've seen a few dynos, but I'm still a bit confused. How much WHP (or BHP) does just the Kleemann K1 ECU Flash really provide? The Kleemann Web site says "up to 535HP / 481 lb-ft TQ"...what does that mean? What's the real deal with just the $1,495 K1 flash?

And, why does RENNTech offer the C63 ECU Flash (ecu upgrade 1) which "only" provides +24BHP (475HP) / +22 lb-ft TQ (465 lb-ft TQ) for $2,495?

Why is there such an apparent difference between the two C63 ECU Flashes or are they really similar in power increase?

M156 and LS7
I don't think after the tunning, we are getting 530HP, I estimate 500hp max. I don't have my dyno to prove that, but from some other dynos they put down around 390-400 whp at 5th gear, consider 82% transmission efficiency, thats around 480-490 crank hp

I think several people have stated that they got about 50 hp from K1. I don't think anyone really expects +80 hp from just ECU tune. I think K2 would yield around 530.

I haven't read the claims on their website, but I'm guessing Kleeman is stating crank hp while RENNTech is stating rwhp. That is just a guess on my part.

No; both are talking BHP (to the crank)...Kleeman's claims are double-triple of the RENNTech flash.

Well the K2 yields around 75-80 hp, so it would seem that 50 from K1 is reasonable.

Does this tune do anything for the low end (ie 0-60) Based on the dyno chart above it seems like this tune does nothing unless your going faster than 100mph...in which case that would be a wast of money for me since i rarely go that fast.

With just the K1 (ECU flash upgrade) is there really a noticeble seat of the pants increase in acceleration or is the increase only felt at the top range of RPM? In other words do you feel any noticealbe low end torque improvement?

Some stated it increases the bottom end as well. I read something that you now need to "tip" the throttle to go otherwise you will burn out.

BTW-When is your car being delivered? There is another person from Vegas (Vegas_AMG) having his car delivered as well. He couldn't strike a deal with Fletcher Jones here. I just spoke with James @ ACGSD, and he says he comes up to Vegas quite often and can load the Klemmann tune for us without having to ship out our ECUs. I'm planning to have it done during SEMA week.

I would like to know if there's a tuner in S. FL that can do this as well or if we would have to ship the ECU to Cory @ Kleemann USA in CO?

So you do notice a low end difference? I would like to see a before and after torque curve if anyone has dynoed there K1 moded car yet. That would give some good feed back.

I just signed the paperwork yesterday. It's supposed to be picked up this week so hopefully next week it arrives.

Ya, Fletcher Jones is full of crap as usual. Unfortunately have to use them for servicing the car though. Did Vegas_AMG get his at South Bay too?

Regarding the K1 mod I think I would be in as well. Maybe he can cut us a better deal if 2 or 3 of us do it. Althoug I would still like to see a dyno on it especially with regard to low end. Not going to be going 100+mph around Vegas that often....

Last time I checked, Renntech offered 2 levels of ecu tune priced at $2495 and $3495 respectively. The second tune was very comparable with Kleemann's claims.

Remember that most of these adds contain the two magic words: Up To

By the way I may have a set of barely used Kleemann headers/downpipes/cats for sale soon.

Dyno results show power for a static gear usually 4 or 5 The power gains are in the upper rpm range which you will certainly blow through in the lower gears under WOT. The C63 gains huge amounts of usable power from just the tune primarily by undoing what MB did to keep the C at the low end of the totem pole.

True, but it would seem that the $1,495 Kleemann K1 ecu flash is comparable to the $3,495 RENNTech upgrade 2 ecu flash...which seems crazy to me that RENNTech would charge > 2x as much.

Hey, also...you're in Central FL...any local tuners offer the Kleemann ecu flash at their shop (instead of shipping the ecu to Kleemann USA in CO)?
