WRX...what the f!@K!!!
I don't know about you guys but I've been challenged about 4 times this week alone by those pesky little Subaru WRXs. It's the only car that keeps trying, no one else has honestly tried. They stop at lights next toe, start revving like crazy. When you take off slow, they start all over again at the next light...so I politely oblige. They get even more aggressive when they can't pass you. I had this one guy cut me off then when I passed him he kept flashing his beams until I eventually lost him. Then he caught up to me at a Wal-Mart and starting asking what the hell was under my hood. I think these guys only know their car specs and have never done any research into other cars. I love those cars though but man, lay off dudes...you have no idea what your getting into.
What about you guys...any similar experiences with these cars?

I kid you not, got challenged by a Prius. OMG. What were they thinking?! (other than, let's challenge him and watch him burn at 10mpg full throttle - which I didn't oblige.)

Just be careful....one day one might sneak up on you -
typically yonger drivers-first time in a 'fast" car....they calm down after you hand them thier diaper back

Dont be fooled by one of these guys, especially if it happens to be a moded STi (which is the car I had before I go my C63 last week).
I cant wait till I finish my break-in, because I will race my STi with my C63, and Im willing to be it will be pretty close...obviously the C63 will eat the STi in the long run, but it should be pretty close at launch.

I have had a few Mitsu guys try runs against me. Only a modified one was able to give me a bad time. He was totally on me through a cloverleaf but I'm sure I could have outrun him over 100 mph if space permitted.
Maybe this is just an Alberta thing but what puzzles me the most is the surprising number of dumb drivers in jazzed up lifted pickups that try to pass or get ahead of me when I'm picking my way through heavy multilane traffic. Why would they even bother or try? Don't they have a clue that as soon as space allows they will be but a distant memory in my rear view mirror? The only explanation I can figure is that they can't see the C63 as anything different than a smallish 4 door sedan like a Saturn or Corolla.
Maybe its an intelligence thing as well, I mean anybody that hangs a set of big metal ********* from their hitch obviously can't be very bright anyway....

i have an 06 sti making 430 at the wheels. what really gives these cars a disadvantage is there extremely short gearing. great car off the launch but then you really dont pull hard again untill the top of 4th and 5th.

I don't know if it's me or what, but I rarely if ever get challenged. In over year in the E55, I've been challenged twice at stoplights getting on the freeway, both times by WRX's. There aren't very many AMG's around here (quite a few posers though), which could be part of the reason.
Watch out though, there are some pretty quick Evo's and WRX's out there. Some even hide in a 2.5RS with a swapped in WRX or STi motor. Like was mentioned earlier, gearing is typically pretty short.

WRX's are a very easily modified car with bolt ons they can actually raise their horsepower really high. they are really good cars for their price tag.. But never the less some of those JDMer's can't or don't really know the difference between a c63 amg and a c300... who knows... Great cars though

Oh yeah no doubt. I like to look at cars as your own way to show who you are. you treat it like your kid, sometimes better (just kidding). I like to see how people come up with newer ways to personalize their car. Just my love of cars.

Yes, I agree with you. I am waiting and saving and wanting the C63 to come out with DI and MCT, MY 2011 maybe if my ex and oldest daughter will stop suing me for a change.

WRXs and Evos love to race around here regardless of which car they see on the road I know their cars can be very fast, but common, calm down a bit.
On a side note, I've never seen or heard of a Prius wanting to race?

Up in my area there are a TON of Mustangs that have wanted to race. None of these were even at the level of the GT500, just GT's with no mods. Literally I've seen over 100 different Mustangs want to race in the last two months. Whats up with that?

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
True Story. A guy in Tempe AZ challenged me in... are you ready for this? A SMART CAR!
Thankfully he did so in jest. We were chatting at a stop light on University and Mill and out of the blue he said "Wanna race?", then he laughed.
I did learn something that day... The Smart car has a 3 Cylinder engine. I always thought it was 4.
As far as the WRX's? They are pretty snappy. 300+ HP wrapped with enough aluminum to make a 12 pack of Coke and enough plastic to fit in a carry on.
Now I'm gonna hear it from the WRX fans, here.
