What's wrong with this picture?

I saw this car on my way to work a while back and just had to take a picture of it. Can anyone point out what's wrong with this C63? :nix:

That's sad...

sflgator Aug 31, 2009 12:45 PM

It's a poser C350 possibly with the AMG sport package. I never quite understood MB's idea to offer customers the "AMG appearance package" with the AMG badge...kind of confusing, imho. However, this particular driver did a poser thing and added at least the "C63" rear trunk emblem (and possibly the AMG emblem as well) to pretend he drives a real C63 AMG...LOSER! :slap:

The twin tailpipes (instead of the AMG quad exhaust) are a dead giveaway. ;)

jbsono Aug 31, 2009 12:48 PM

The sad thing is, he will have to face the embarrassment of losing to any old mustang gt or simular vehicle that comes his way.

I don't think that's even a 350. There should be LEDs for the rear light assemblies on the 350, no?

dmzz Aug 31, 2009 12:53 PM

The sad part is that 90% of people out there thinks this guy is driving a brand new C63 AMG.

jbsono Aug 31, 2009 12:57 PM

I agree, mercedes does really leave the true amg drivers hanging.

Sincity Aug 31, 2009 12:58 PM

It wouldn't have been so bad until that person put the C63 emblem on. I wonder if he/she has the "6.3" on the fenders?

+63!

Sad...I knew a guy that doesnt really understand car, but would love to buy a nice performance M-Benz. So long story short, he found one on the used car dealership near his house an "E55"....but no supercharge, brakes, suspension (you got the point)..The sales person told him, thats it is a genuine AMG...since the car got the AMG Bumper package...

Poor him...

Quadcammer Aug 31, 2009 01:40 PM

who cares? if the guy is happy, how does it affect you in any way?

Its his car, he can put ferrari badges on it if he wants.

MJ50 Aug 31, 2009 01:41 PM

I agree. It's amusing what some people do, but it's not a big deal in the overall scheme of things.

Oh, but your friend bought the car anyway??

This is a first class poser, if you were to check this guy out I am sure he also has a fake watch, and his girlfriend has a fake purse etc, you get the picture, I dont know why people embarass themselves, and dont give me that crap that these people could do whatever they want, these people are hopelessly attempting to be vain and that is a no no.

mtnbkr Aug 31, 2009 04:17 PM

To me the sad part is that he is not happy with his C350 (or whatever it is) which is a great car already.

wow, you make a lot of judgments there.

If they want to be vain, or want to make people think their car is cooler, faster, more expensive, whatever, and it has zero affect on your life, who are you to say that its a "no-no"?

I think the real problem is that some C63 owners are so insecure that they can't handle their cars being "degraded" by these posers. A common argument: "Well, if someone beats them in a race in some crappy car, they will think C63s are slow".

WHO CARES?

Plus he/she just bought it. Is it buyer remorse?

jbsono Aug 31, 2009 06:12 PM

It is not a matter of being insecure but, rather the thought of someone under minding what some have worked so hard to get. Owning an AMG does carry some appreciation of having a car that is not accessible to all. The owner of that vehicle needs to be secure with his/her self and not worry about what other folks are driving.

mtnbkr Aug 31, 2009 06:15 PM

Here is an idea... maybe it is a real C63 AMG but he put the dual tailpipes and other things to make it look like a C350 that is trying to be an AMG... NOW that is unique.

Thank you for undestanding, this is no way an insecure comment that I was making, "Oliverk" I am simply stating the fact that other people feel the need to be accepted and falsely represent themselves to the rest of the world. That is a very sad person, I have no issues about anything else.

I really don't think so, its more like 90% the people out have no clue what a C63 is :) (very sad)

It used to be a lot worth: the C32 looked almost identical to a C230 Kompressor. Nowadays Mercedes is adding more and more unique signs to the AMG models especially with the C63, such as, the hood, diffuser, etc...

mikelin7 Aug 31, 2009 07:31 PM

C63 and AMG badge.. that will increase the horsepower to 451..

tanktube67 Aug 31, 2009 08:27 PM

Is sad some dealers (Beshoff Motors) like to scam uninformed people.
