I was a nay sayer to every on here saying 4-6K miles and there done. I was sure people were doing burn outs everywhere. As you can see 4K miles these tires should have been changed out. I waited to long but drove like a grandma for 2K miles. Not because of the money, just because I had no time to change them. Ordered from TireRack. Great service and quick delivery. |
I can't believe you were driving on those bald rear tires. G/L on this next set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo for the rear, but I would be willing to bet you don't get more than 8k mi. on your new set of Hankooks either. This is what happened to me when I switched to the Bridgestone Potenza Sport RE760's with a 340 tread wear rating...got 8k mi. out of those and I drive ~ 90% highway miles (not doing burnouts and not too much stop/go traffic). :(
And, you know since I'm not interested in buying new tires 4x/year, I now have a full set of 4 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires with a 500 tread wear rating and 45k mi. tread wear warranty. So, at least if they wear out in ~ 15k-20k. mi, I'll get a nice prorated credit toward a new set of tires. :y So far, I haven't seen any difference in traction with these "ultra high performance all season" tires; as long as the traction is decent and I get at least 15k mi. on the rears, I'll be happy. :D |

I dont do a lot of miles so it should be right around next spring. Ill get about 4K miles before the winter and switch out for a pair of rear winter tires at that time. Then back the to the orignal rears for the summer to finish them off and then... another 4 in 2 years.. lol Thats the plan at least... :D |
Damn, I can see my reflection in those tires. They are so worn they have turned to glass. Switch out quickly...

Yeah.. I was just looking for a tire to get me enough mileage to wear out my front OEM's and then replace all 4. All Seasons are nice, but they dont hookup as good as the extreme summer tires. They surely are tempting though to save money on tires.

Damn that looks scary. I ordered a new set of OEM rears. I have 5300 miles and I am at the wear bars. This is kind of ridiculous that it can't even last 10k miles...

i will never buy Pzeros again. im going with Conti DWS all seasons. my car has been babied and im very close to the wear bars with 3150 miles on the thing. i simply dont need the amount of dry traction that the summer tires offer. i do however need cold weather traction that you get from an all season.
