Thanks for the ebay tip. That's a good start along with the shift knob for entry level aftermarket applications. I'll check the Forum first for install instructions for the side markers.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.
I would not bet the farm that the 2011 5.5TT car will be a 63 killer. If you look at what happened with the Audi S4 for example, the car has lost some of its appeal, the engine sounds like nothing versus the former V8. It also lacks the low end torque. It is within a few tenths the same performance. Who knows...
However, you are now about 6 months away from the 2011s so I understand your dilemna especially that I am sure they will be plenty of 2010 on the lot to pick from if you dont want the 2011. DO you lose your 10% and sales tax exemption if you were to pick from a US car lot dealer?

We have a $2000 guzzler tax here. I was not aware of it either so it came as quite a shock.

Good point about the S4. I had peeped them out as well...actually was kinda setting my sights on a S3 4-door Avant (wagon), but they don't manufacture the S3 for the US market, only a 3.2 V6. That said though, I damn happy with my ultimate choice.

I see your setup includes the black maple. Any interior pics available? Specifically the dash and doors?

Thanks for the welcome...glad to be a part of the MB hood.

Are you considering the military sales? I would recommend the salesman, Mr. Hall; he went out of his way to accommodate me. PM for details, if you're interested.
No, I have my own contacts here in Germany and there is no tax what so ever here in Germany as long as you have military plates, military license and of course military I.D. card. Most people here in Germany that I know of deal with Torpedo Garage military sales in K town (next to Ramstein AB). I believe MB will have to increase their incentives to increase their sales due to last weeks poor financial reports.......

Yeah, I found Torpedo on the web and contacted them first. Took them more than a week to answer an e-mail, so I went looking elsewhere. That was my experience with them. So far with Hall and his crew, it's all good. I expect it to remain that way. About two months plus until delivery.
