I also installed my clear marker lenses which came today.
First, it took me *MAYBE* 10 minutes total. It was so brain dead simple I was shocked.
I got these lenses from http://myworld.ebay.com/goodstuffs4u0904
They were $49.94 and were advetised as "2008 2009 Mercedes W204 C Class Clear Side Marker"
As you can see they _are_ clear, not smoked. I may buy a set of smoked lenses just to see which I like better. I'm actually OK with the amber bulbs, but I would like to try the ones that don't look amber until they are lit up (can someone please point me at them on ebay?).

After:
Next up: Tomorrow I get VentureShield trim installed and my 9500ci should show up. Lots of travel over the next few weeks so I probably won't get around to getting in for the tint or detector install for a while...

2014 C63 AMG 507 Sedan
I was at Barrier today to look at colors on C-classes. Especially palladium silver and steel gray(I've already seen black.) I wasn't expecting to come across a c63 b/c I didn't think they had any stock so I was pleasantly surprised to see what I think was your car parked there. I'm interested in the p31 too. The palladium silver with the p31 pkg looked tight. Thanks for your pics and info on this site.. It has helped me a lot. (I'm down to Palladium silver and black.)
There's a p31 pal silver inbound with all options except mbrace. Any comments on mbrace. Worth it?

The inbound P31 is the car I originally ordered. I did not (and still don't) want mbrace. I think it's totally useless and a waste of money. Every time I've tried to use it I waited so long for a result I could have pulled over and either used my mobile or entered stuff in the satnav manually. I will not be paying for the subscription.

Great car you had
[quote=cek;3951171]Today I picked up my new car at the dealer. We were done by about 12:45pm and I spent the rest of they day driving and playing with her. Of course I was careful to not exceed the break-in rules.
I'm quite happy.
Here's what I got:
P02 Premium 2 Package
320 Multimedia Package
318 AMG Seating Package
P31 AMG Development Package
471 Rear Limited Slip Differential
359 Mercedes-Benz mbrace
889 Keyless Go Card Key
218 Rear Electronic Parking Aid With Camera
293 Rear Side Airbags
201 Black Leather Interior
792 Palladium Silver Metallic
Black Maple Wood Trim - -
You really had all items on my wish list if I could order another Palladium C63. I have Palladium one with P30 and about what I can have in 2008. I don't know what mbrace is. But I do know I have been asking for back-up camera for long time. It's finally available this year but my dealer can't find the correct part # for me to order. PLS find the part# for me so I can oreder one here! Thanks a lot!

Today I put my car on a dyno. It pulls 425 RWHP / 382 RWTQ with no modifications.

Not that I was looking to justify spending the money on the P31 package, but the results are quite gratifying!

The car had come into a dealer in CA and was almost identical to another car the dealer had ordered for stock that is due in April. My dealer was able to get the car up to WA for me. If I would have ordered it myself the only thing I would have done differently is _maybe_ get the carbon trim. But after driving it with the black maple, I'm now certain that would have been a _total_ waste of money.
My only real disappointment is the dealer had already attached the front license plate holder thus fraking up the front bumper with 4 disgusting holes. Arrrg.
Sometime soon I'll set her up for a real photo shoot, but for now here are the pics I took at the dealer.

My '95 540 M-Sport had "Shadowline trim" - no chrome. I loved the look of it and it really helped set it apart from standard 540s. See the picture below.
I am considering blacking out the trim around the side windows and maybe the chrome on the trunk lid to achieve the same effect on my C63. Here's a really lame p'shop I whipped up. Has anyone seen a lighter C63 like mine where this has been done? Opinions?

This made me LOL. Because I had to "pull out" of the dealership 5 times yesterday.
- On the test drive. I had never driven one of these and even though I put $ down to get the dealer to get the car here, I was perfectly willing to walk if I didn't like driving it. I was concerned it might be too "uncivilized" to be my daily driver (and for my wife to drive occasionally). Some reviews, and especially the Top Gear episode, made it sound pretty brutish. I focused my test drive on how easy it was to drive smoothly and I was rewarded with a confident feeling.
- On my wife's test drive. Funny thing was she drove a LOT more aggressively than I did. (Because I _knew_ the car had tons of power and handled well).
- After we bought it.
- After we got to my kid's Lacrosse practice and realized my wife had left her phone & purse in the back seat of the A6 we just traded in; I had to drive back to the dealer to get it.
- After I got home and was reading the manual and noticed it was an E Class manual. I had to drive back to the dealer to get the right manual.
Nice car btw. Thinking of buying the exact same setup :P Altough i'm still uncertain about whether or not to go with CF trim and 19" multispoke wheels.

You had asked earlier about silver bulbs for your new clear front marker lights. I recently installed these on my car. I purchased them on Ebay from seller "fishcake321". They came with the regular yellow bulbs but he also included a pair of silver bulbs that look silver when off but glow/blink yellow. Eliminates that "fried egg" look. You might try contacting him thru Ebay and see if he sells the bulbs separately.
BTW, car looks great!

no big deal. The two insurance companies will battle it out. Thats why you pay insurance, let them do the work. They will ask what happened and they will likely call it a no fault accident .
Your insurance will pay for your repairs and his will repair the Accord.
Sadly most people will not accept responsibility and will do whatever they can to get out of being "at fault", this is why most states are "no fault" states

Mercedes Benz C350 Sport (w204)
hey I'm in Federal Way (not too far from bellevue haha) and I have a black c350 with tint and smoked out lights etc but I was wondering about that shadowline trim also! I think it would look a lot better if I can get the chrome parts on the car to be black haha I just don't know how I would go about doing it, I was told not to paint it cause it will eventually chip off or succumb to wear and tear.. any ideas? if you were still thinking of getting it done, it'd be cool to find someone who can do this for us haha

Wheel update:
I now have two sets of wheels. My original OEM wheels are now shod with Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's I purchased from TireRack. I went with the same size tire all the way around: 235/40 18. So far these have performed very well in Seattles very cold winter. Lots of ice and great traction. I'm also very impressed/surprised with their dry performance.
I also now have a set of Forgestar F14s (18x8.5 ET40 & 18x9.5 ET55) shod with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires (245/40-18, 275/35-18). This setup is optimized for clear (but wet) roads.
The wheels came in the wrong color (Matte Black) and I'm debating whether to keep them or get them re-powder-coated in Gunmetal Gray which is what I originally wanted.
Here's some pics.
You can find the whole thread on these wheels here:
