Why does it smell bad when I drive fast?

Well, it isn't just the 0-60 in 3.8....it's the 0-50 in 2.7. That thing loses some serious speed after the 3rd gear shift at 50mph, but the launch on that was violent.
I had to laugh...first time my brother visited and was in it, I launched unexpectedly at a light...and after, he said, "oh, man...I'm feelin' a little dizzy!". But he was so serious!
I hit 0-30 one time in 1.1 secs and 50 in 2.7...smokin fast off the line! Of course, that was with a Vishnu Tune...but that thing would bury the C63 up to about 60.

Same here with my C55, it smells like something is burning. Didn't think it was an issue till I saw this thread, and looks like it may just be normal . Smells exactly the same around the hood and the exhaust, so it's probably something from the combustion process. I'm not sure what burning oil smells like, but that may be it.

Its a Mercedes thing - this is my third Benz over 6 years, and they all smell like that after driving them hard, even with 50,000 miles on them. Even my wife's C240 wagon.
I have not figured out what it is (kind of combination of tire rubber/engine oil/burning plastic/brake dust/transmission fluid), but I have gotten used to it and feel that it is normal vehicle function, even if it is a bit weird.
