While it's a subjective thing, I don't even find it ugly. At first glance, it looked a bit chunky, but after seeing it in person, the proportions work very well, and definitely pays homage to the orignal 300SL Gullwing. I can see myself driving an SLS if I'm in my late 40's (which isn't too far away )!

You need to get informed and up to speed on some facts before posting garbage. Obama the great recently imposed laws pertaining to fuel mileage, manufactureres entire lines/fleets must be capable of some crazy number like 30 or 32 mpg by 2015 (maybe sooner). That means manufactureres will be forced to introduce a bunch of econoboxes and hybrids as well as drastically improve mpg's on their full size luxury and performance vehicles. For every 15mpg 63 MB produces they will have to produce and sell a 45 mpg vehicle, in order to make this a realistic goal to attain MB is dropping the 15mpg 63's with 20mpg turbos that will still give us the high performance we all desire while at the same time closing that gap between a 15mpg car and a 45mpg car keepingpleasthe 30mpg average in mind
The mpg figures I used above are not exact, I just used them for sake of conversation.

I can perty much post watever i like u just dont have to listen. Now if u bought a F/I car such as the SL65 or 600 model soemthing like that u would probaly agree with me lol. Its not just MPG its also HP wars they need to keep up with the new M5 and M6 as well, And what bothers me the most is why not place this engine in the SLS?
