right mirror tilt when reversing question
 

i am struggling with this right mirror adjustment when reversing.
i have played it by the book:
1 turn the key 2 click to the right
2 put gear in reverse
3 click the light for the right mirror adjustment
4 adjust the mirror
5 click M and within 3 seconds click one of the arrows.

i cannot get the mirror to do what it is supposed to do in my opinion, allow me to make sure i avoid curb rash on my rims while parallel parking.

am i the only one ?

any suggestions please.

I don't think you need to put in reverse to adjust it. Skip that part next time. I'm only reading the manual also.

The steps sound correct to me. There is also a menu in the instrument cluster that allow you to enable/disable that feature, have you checked that yet?

does not work in US '09 cars.

Does anyone know if this, or any other, sequence should work on the 2010 US models? Or is this another Euro only option?

Not sure about the 2010's but you can program a right-mirrow-down position on "memory 3" setting...you might make take your normal "memory 1" everyday driving position and just change the mirror setting for "3." Somebody posted this tip a while back and it's much better than nothing.
