Lowest Fuel Consumption reached
I decided to check what was the lowest fuel consumption I could reach. My car is stock (457hp).
The greatest range I got was 614km = 384miles
The lowest consupmtion was 9.9 L/100km = 23.7mpg
I got these results on different days.

You should verify those mileage figures at the pump -- you will find that they are optimistic by 1-2 MPG, at least.
This is my 3rd Mercedes, and the trip computer is optimistic in all of them. The C63 is actually closest to reality, but still 1-2 MPG high. Which is a big difference when it says you are only getting 10-12 MPG in town to begin with.
Still, 20+ MPG is pretty good. I am sure that I will never see that.

To be honest I didn't calculate the mpg myself. I found a calculator on the web which did it for me - maybe it was not accurate
I usually drive about 350-400km on one full tank (190-250miles). In the city much less, about 250km (155miles).
The greatest distance that I have actually driven was 520km (325miles). I believe I could reach 580km (360miles) but it would be hell...

Wow that is very impressive. The best I got (and I ran out of fuel lol) was 310 miles or 500 kms. I was averaging about 85mph or 140kph on the highway.
What average speed you think you did to get 600kms?

In reality our tank has 64L so 64/6 = 10,7L/100km but that would be very hard to reach over such a distance. I think your speed should be between 60-90km/h but closer to 90km/h so the car would drive in 7th gear.
That should be a challenge for the eco-drivers - drive over 600km in a 6.3L sedan with a 64L tank

350 km combined.
but i m more intreseted on how many kms can you still drive/ or left when your lights on,
mines will be on around 100kms, i tried to drive 60km but decided it would be wise to get refilled.

Yea, and you were being towed by a unicorn ridden by David Hasselhoff too, right?
Either that or you have the lightest foot in the universe.
Or, you have great self-control.
I know the reason the best I've ever seen was about 14mpg is because _I_ have no self-control.

Dude, how did you get 9.9L/100? Seriously, that's awesome!
I just did a road trip and the best economy I can get on the freeway is 11.1L/100. Thats on cruise at 110km/h in 7th.
Is there a different speed that's better for economy? Like 160km/h?

From the point were the yellow reserve light goes on you can drive about 100km but I wouldn't risk it

It's all about self-control
I have never reached that result again - I tried but only got to 10,2L/100km.

At a constant speed of 160km/h our cars consume about 15-16L/100km.
I drive to Berlin from my house in Poland every week (about 300km) and I use the same route every time so I tend to get bored on the road. 240km of highway with little traffic gives me the perfect conditions to conduct such experiments
As I said before, I think your speed should be between 60-90km/h but closer to 90km/h so the car would drive in 7th gear
The fastest I got to Berlin was 1h40min (240km highway, 60km ****ty Polish mountain roads) and when I test my car's consumption it takes me about 3hrs
Kids, don't try this at home - it's too painful.

Can I just note that all the pictures / most of the deep analysis was done in km or km/h - shows you how much we care about fuel economy in the good ol' US of A (And No - I don't care about fuel economy - just the growl and the turned heads)

How much do you pay for a gallon in the US? 1L of fuel (95 octane) costs in Poland about $1.6 (in Germany 1.45Euro = $1.78)
In the last 18 months I've driven with my car 97000km (60625miles).
On average my car consumed 16L/100km so the 97000km cost about... You can do the math yourself.
Don't want to show off here. Just trying to make a point why there is a difference in the mentality

a gallon of 91 octane near my place goes from $3.16 up...thats Southern California; if you drive 20-30 minutes south of where i am to Orange County, i think they are up to $3.2x
and 1 gallon is ~ 3.8L, that would be $6.08/gallon for us using your pricing....and I would probably not be driving this car if that was the case lol

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
And yet most Americans bish and moan about how expensive gasoline is here.
When I hear them complain (especially when they drive a high end car), I ask them if they know how much gasoline is in Europe. They tell me they don't know, but "surely, it's less than here in the US" they say.
At this point I shake my head, look them in the eye and proceed to call them idiots.
We're lucky to have such low fuel prices here... Low fuel prices until ObamaCare kicks in, and Uncle Sam decides to raise fuel taxes another 100% or so, I'm sure.

it may differ on what gasoline you drive..
What do you have in the states? 91 octane?
In sweden we can get 99 octane at Shell
