Here's a c35 AMG

I know it seems strange but actually this kind of antennas are used by almost all drivers in Poland - you can see them on M5, C63 or S-classes. When using CB radios, the longer the antenna the better the range. All this to avoid police and tickets of course

Let me guess the decal on the windshield coupled with the gaudy front bumper increase his CB range as well

C35?
I saw one of these at a EuroSunday in the SF Bay area this weekend, and I must admit the guy had a good story. He claimed it was a special edition to celebrate the anniversary of AMG and that it had a 367HP V6. It did have Affalterbach badges all over the place (wheel centers, steering wheel, trunk lid), and an engraved plate on the engine with "special edition" and an AMG logo. There were a few things that made me question whether or not it was real, though.
It had a 160mph speedometer
Nothing in the gauges identifying it as an AMG car.
The tires were skinnier than the ones on my C32.
He claimed the dealer got two of them in and kept the other for himself. Interesting story, but I didn't believe it...

I was also at eurosunday this pass weekend and was there when he popped the hood and everything seemed to be legit. He didn't seem like the type to put that effort into making it into an AMG car

lolz that is the most BS story ever. I never understand why ppl badge up. who are they trying to impress? the average joe doesnt even know what an AMG is so it'll just go over their heads.. and the ppl that know like us, we can see through the imitation easily.
but alas, it is their car, their money and thus they can do whatever they want to it. However, that also means we can laugh at them all we want.

I have to agree I don't understand the upbadging by people for pretty much the same reasons people post on this thread. Case in point...
Two different friends of mine both both c250s after I bought my C63 here's how each convo went...
Girl#1:"HEY I picked up a C-Class too! Same one as you! We should race sometime! I got the 2 door so its probably a little bit faster!"
All I could do was smile and hold back my laughter and tell her "yeah, you're probably right about that"
Girl #2: "I got the same exact car as you. Even the same color" Even that was wrong (Steel Grey vs Sapphire Grey). I corrected her about the color only to hear they are both grey.
Point is, people who would actually be impressed by a true AMG will know a real one and everyone else isn't impressed anyway. It's just another C class to them.

There's a guy that, I think, works at the Home Depot near me because I always see this "C300 AMG" parked out by itself.
It even has a bunch of bullet hole stickers on the trunk and a Jason mask on the passenger seat...
I'll have to snap a pic next time I'm there. I always try to park close or next to him lol.

In all fairness the AMG badge gets thrown on a lot. My CLK550 had one on when I bought it. CLK55 owners would give me shyt about it. Problem was the 550 had a bunch of AMG stuff on it so it could be more a "amg kit" decal than posing as an AMG. Posing would be if I took off the "0". They would ask, "Well what makes you think it has an AMG kit?" I replied, amg headlights, amg fog lights, amg grill, amg bumpers, amg wheels, amg brakes (same as 55 not 63), amg exhaust tips, amg shifters, and amg pedals, all oem, not added. Their reply, "yeah well youre missing the engine, tranny and suspension." My response, "Suspension yes, but why would I want an inferior engine and tranny that ended up producing less power and being slower than my non amg car, plus my car is facelifted and yours looks dated." Stock for stock the 55's were just as fast as my stock 550. I would always pull a 1/2 to 1 car length or it would be dead even. Moral of the story, all AMG's are not created equal. Non kompressed 55's were slow, and anything that doesn't at least start with a 5 or 6 shouldn't carry an official AMG badge. Just an opinion so I hope this doesnt trigger all you tuats who had or are still in a 3 or a 4 "amg".

The 32 AMGs with the M112k were pretty quick and modable too!

This reminds me of a really fond memory from my first days as a car fan. I knew a little bit about BMWs and Pontiacs, so I thought I knew it all about cars. My two really good friends were into cars, but didn't know anywhere near as much as I did.
They told me about a really awesome new AMG called the C36. I just went with it thinking they are idiots, because a benz always had a letter and then 3 digits, they must have meant a C360, which would itself be something epic back then because the C only went up to 280 back then. I just appeased them and let them call it a C36 a few times, knowing it was clearly a C360.
They kept talking about this damn C36 and I finally I had enough and told them they were idiots and they meant C360. They kept insisting and I was too arrogant to listen to them and kept dismissing them. Finally they pulled out the issue of Road and Track they just saw and showed me the C36. My jaw dropped and I was humbled in my stupidity of cars at that moment. Thats how I learned about AMG and the letter + 2 digit combo for AMG.
This was before Mercedes had bought them out I believe.
I know the story is OT, but seeing your C35 reminded me of the glorius C36 story and my personal introduction to AMG... and hey you never know the C35 could be something.... Funny nevertheless
On a side note there is a really annoying guy I see occasionally with what looks to be a SLK350 that is blacked out, so of course it has SLK Black Series badges on it and custom license plate that implies he has an AMG.. Hes dumb enough to rev at me every so often (me being in an actual C63 Black Series). I have no idea how to respond to this idiot/douche
